Bu they scored on their best run play anyway
Exactly.. it was a second bad one.. Dallas was probably playing to get a first down on the next play if they didn't take the shot..

They scored with 11 seconds left on the clock so yeah we know... It took them around a solid minute to score. Had we run one more time, we would have left them with 30 some odd seconds on the clock. GAME OVER...We'll never know
But yes, throwing a pass there was huge head scratcher
Of course, but remember it was a second and ONE.. the very next play would have done that, but we scored on a run by Dak..
& I believe Troy low key lit a fire under Garrett with that timely comment. You have no argument.
The people who know football know that there's more to it than "just try and score" on every play.
That's why actual winners like Troy Aikman's call out stupidity when they see it.

Solid play call sir...I understand where you’re coming from. It could go either way, I guess. I would run on that 2nd & 1 ten times out of ten and assure GB burns the timeout.

What ? Imagine if it had been successful!!! Then Rodgers and GB would have had that much MORE time. The strategy in that position absolutely has to be to run the clock down and AT LEAST make GB use their last TO. You're talking about 45 seconds more time they could have run off the clock. Inexcusable. On a second and one and another chance to get a first down, while getting single coverage on Dez, it was perfectly a fine play call..
Troy Aikman is a good commentator now?
So running on third and one, you know situational awareness, thinking they would get the first and not a TD would not cause GB to burn a TO?

I agree. The Jerry watch is on. Does he care about winning or just raking in the dough? We will see sooner rather than later. His action (or inaction) will speak volumes. It would take the owner wanting to listen to it. And admitting he was wrong with the staff he approved of.
None of them are doing a good job.
Well, I hated the call too, butThey scored with 11 seconds left on the clock so yeah we know... It took them around a solid minute to score. Had we run one more time, we would have left them with 30 some odd seconds on the clock. GAME OVER...
What we DO know is that throwing it there vs running clock was dumb as ****.Well, I hated the call too, but
No, we dont know if an extra 20-25 seconds would've done it.
Green Bays play calling would be totally different. Certainly not 2-3 running plays
Or maybe we fumble it or get a penalty. We dont know anything for sure because it didnt happen

We don't seem to be to good with Dak's decision making running the play clock down to the last second..
I'm not disagreeing with the overall arguments, I just don't think it's that big of a deal to take a shot at that look.
I think us playing prevent and scared and letting Rodgers sit back all day on a three man rush is worse..
I think not trying to score a TD based on the possibility some QB will march down the field to score a TD is being a fool..
I also believe playing prevent against QBs like Rodgers in those situations are foolish..
I blame the defensive coach here, not that play call..
I don't think our defense is so pathetic that we need to play that way..
It's not "some QB". It's Aaron freaking Rodgers, i.e the guy who did more or less the same thing against us less than a year ago.
If you score..
