Apparently, the owner still does. I think many fans feel obligated to tow the company line.
I admit I used to be that way. Always attempting to be positive but nothing is changing. I rant on the coaching staff every game thread (many probably sick of seeing it) but I honestly believe we should have a better staff. We all want to win but we also have to realize this process has failed.

I actually have a lot of good things to say about the Cowboys. But I also won't be a nitwit homer and just not criticize when I feel they've screwed up. And they screwed up this offseason.

And the team that was at the bottom of the division zoomed right past us because they were smarter this offseason. So yeah, I am going to complain when as it stands right now, the Eagles have a better roster than we do top to bottom and are a legit contender in the NFC and we aren't largely because of the decisions made by our front office.
Its definitely fair to criticize this organization, but you never stop. You go on and on and on.... What exactly is your objective? Do you look in the mirror and puff out your chest, and say something like I sure put those homer Cowboy fans on the zone in their place? Maybe you, @stasheroo, @Alexander, and other disgruntled Cowboys can make up some signs and go picket over at the Star in Frisco and demand Jerry sell the team or something.

I'm totally there with you.

There's nowhere left to point the finger. Literally every position other than head coach has been changed out. And the results are the same.

All the t-shirts and press conferences in the world doesn't change it.

He may be a brilliant person. That doesn't make him a great head coach. And that's not a crime. Plenty of guys have sat in that big chair and failed.

But it's time to admit it already.

Or maybe we can do what we do. Give both credit and blame where we feel it's deserved? Rather than being totally one-sided in our comments. Some people are capable of seeing both sides, some people are not.

You decide what kind of person you want to be.

I think we get caught in the hype of big free agent signings and blockbuster trades. Reality is the Eagles are not superior than the Cowboys as an overall unit. Dallas has been inconsistent early in the year but even with that the team is literally 2 plays away from having a 6-1 record. Losing Zeke doesn't really changes our offense which is to pound the rock and hit short distant passes. I wouldn't the front office to overreact and trade our picks to find a temporary fix, those 4/5/6/7 round picks can turn into quality players and the foundation for championships.

Simple question.

Are they better than the 2016 Eagles team?

They clearly are and that's in large part to an aggressive and smart offseason.

Not sure why some here struggle with stuff like this.
Simple answer, yes. Lol I'll get back with you at the end of the season.

What's it going to be then, eh?

He absolutely changes the offense when he is getting 4-6 yards on each run versus getting 2-4. The success of the run sets up our passing game. There should not be any illusion that it doesn't.

But it is not the coaches fault. It is Jerry's fault for putting him in that position. JG is probably shocked he is making so much money with .500 results and hasn't been fired yet. We can't have a real coach here who is allowed to build his own team and do things the way he needs to in order to succeed. Jerry wants too much say so in everything. He wants the glory.

No doubt. I know I'm guilty.

Reality is the Eagles are not superior than the Cowboys as an overall unit.

I will respectfully disagree there. I think they've passed us by pretty significantly.

Dallas has been inconsistent early in the year but even with that the team is literally 2 plays away from having a 6-1 record.

Not a huge fan of coulda, woulda, shoulda. We are what our record says we are.

Losing Zeke doesn't really changes our offense which is to pound the rock and hit short distant passes.

Approach? Maybe not. Execution and effectiveness? There I think it could be a significant change.

I wouldn't the front office to overreact and trade our picks to find a temporary fix, those 4/5/6/7 round picks can turn into quality players and the foundation for championships.

Same here.

remember the 2011 eagles dream team? ya they were really good.

That team started off terrible and never got off the ground. And most of those FA signings were over the hill and overrated.

This Eagles team is light years ahead of that one.

I don't understand the rush to crown Philly.

The last few times they started a season strong they ended up falling apart late.

I'll wait till they actually win the division or win a playoff game before I declare that they "passed us by".

That organization hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt. So I'll wait till they prove it. So far they've won 7 games. Big deal.

OK. They're 7-1 playing nobody. And we're 4-3 playing nobody. Does that make you feel any better?
The Cowboys have won two games in a row, yet you're still crying? Why? You should be pumped and ready to have a fun 2nd half of the season, but nope, you want to continue to whine on here, just to prove your point? That is utter lunacy.

And the Eagles have somehow found a way to build the team they have despite being in cap hell as some people called it after Kelly threw money around like candy.

It is what it is. We have had the same GM in place for 20+ years and the results speak for themselves. The Eagles, at least right now, seem to have a more innovative, aggressive and creative front office than we do. They don't seem to have all the excuses for failures to improve that we do and hear from our front office.
And Jerry is not going anywhere, so what's your point? You actually think you're daily rants are going to change anything?

Nobody "crying" here, expect fans who can't take it when another team gets some credit.

Again, the only people "whining" are the one throwing a tantrum because some smart football moves are being praised. Unless those moves are made by the Cowboys, they can't handle it.

You decide if you want to be one of them.

I can talk about Dak, and Lawrence, and all of the great things happening for the Cowboys in the proper thread. This one is talking about the shrewd moves the Eagles have made to compared to our recent poor ones. I can accept that fact, can you?

They would rather be right and lose than wrong and win..... so they double and triple down on the doom and gloom in case things go bad
