No, he is light years better than Edwards. Now I will say this and I have said this before, I got this from your boy Jimmy Johnson, a HC is only as good as his staff, Garrett needs to get with Jerry with Stephen and get them to let him pick his own staff, well he did get to pick Linehan, but the others were picked by Jerry I believe.

So more excuses for the clapper?

Marinelli and Linehan were both picked by Garrett

Let's see if you can come up with another excuse

Here's a good one

"He's ONLY been HC for 7 years" :omg:

Please don't lie like that. I only question arm chair fans who think that know everything like yourself.

Show all of us the "lie"? People need look no further than to this very thread for prooof that everything I'm saying is 100% accurate. None of your posts here have said anything other than to attack those with a differing view.

And your little keyboard warrior threats are really funny.

It's no threat. I don't do that. It's merely a stament of what I would do if I could. You don't deserve the priviledge of being here.

add one more to the lists of why Garrett needs to be fired.
- the 'any coach is screwed under jones' argument - this is the most self-defeating argument possible. basically, if that is what one believes in, they should stop watching the cowboys because they will never win. 7 years is a long drought, and the in-game failings in the playoffs are telling of a coach that will not take this team to win the superbowl. failure to adjust, clock management disasters (and refusal to set mechanism to prevent it) and letting the other qb trick you in the same way he tricked you last time - unforgivable. shows a HC who lacks the fire and passion to solve clear problems.

1. Lack of game adjustments - And that includes adjusting to the opponent's half time adjustments. Also fail to fix problems from game to game - Aaron Rodgers took advantage of the defensive rotation 2 years in a row in the playoffs? Because our defense refuses to adjust to the problem - how incredibly stupid is that? You can blame Marinelli, but does Garrett know/do nothing. Just claps and does not work with the DC??? Jimmy Johnson would never have allowed that. They allowed Green to give up a record number of sacks in one game and Dak has played much worse recently (any correlation?). Time management mistakes keep occurring with no plan to do better. Playcalling had to be taken away from him.
2. Makes players worse - The defense put the players in a position to fail. Play DBs 10 yards back is insane. Good QBs pick it apart.
3. Cannot diagnose defensive problems - They literally blamed the DBs for failure instead of recognizing it is the scheme or pass rush etc. They then sold management to the point that Stephen Jones bad mouthed the players they allowed to leave, only to have these players play much better for other teams.
4. Cannot recognize DB talent - Carr and Mo became top 10 rated after leaving - so they cannot recognize what they had. We blame it on Marinelli - but what then does Garrett do - does he know nothing while the DC is incompetent? Furthermore, they allowed Carr and Mo to leave for pretty low $ contracts that would have been bargains - particularly given their performance as top 10 DBs now.
5. Blame game culture - Garrett is never at fault... Garrett sold management about the failure of the defense being the DBs, not the scheme and coaching. Garrett throws Dak under the bus. Garrett makes excuses about time management failures in interviews that were so ridiculous that Jerry Jones corrected those comments afterwards.
6. Allows Marinelli to control drafting talent - Watt was no good because he does not fit perfectly into the scheme. Mcclay was put in place to referee between scouting and coaches. It appears Marinelli vetoed based on his scheme.
7. Time management disasters and no apparent attempt to address these definitively
8. What exactly does Garrett do. He is not a x and o guy. He lets Marinelli run the defense. Linehan calls the offense plays. The only thing left is designing the offense - but that has not changed much recently. What does Garrett do? Chief cheerleader clapper? Culture police? We have people for working with difficult players.
9. Lack of passion in solving problems - problems happen and do not get addressed. Time management, being tricked by Rodgers, Marinelli's failures. What HC would allow these failures to continue? Garrett does.
10 During the draft, when a D pick is coming up. Marinelli is there talking to FO, not Garrett. Same with O picks - Garrett does not seemed involved either. What is his role? Would Jimmy Johnson be so standoffish? Jimmy would be frantically studying players and running the show. Garrett seems to just coast - He may just be a lazy politician.

Well in the past TWENTY years we've had 6 different coaches and 2 playoff wins. The one common factor is Jerry was the GM so you're not too far off.

That was true for players that left under Parcells and Zimmer too.

no HC is perfect.
but what we are talking about is the wholesale gutting of a DB backfield.
the reason was they were no good and waste of money.
the former starters leave the system and become top-10 type DBs else where.
they cannot judge talent.
furthermore, recklessly jeopardized the season by counting on SEVERAL rookies becoming good players in year 1.
many here and press pointed out the risk of this as it was happening.
just to think, the risk could have be mitigated by signing carr for 6M/yr instead of carroll for 3M/yr.
now carroll is 4M dead money and carr is playing like a top 10 DB who has been historically healthy and available throughout his career.
instead they went and played fantasy football like amateurs instead of veteran coaches who understand the jump from college to pro.

So who do you blame this on?

If I don’t deserve to be here than neither do you. Now go smoke some of your stash.

I'd gladly put that claim of yours to a vote or a poll.

Me vs you, loser leaves forever.

If I'm not wanted here, I'd gladly face that fact and move on. I don't want my presence to make this a worse place, but a better one.

Can you say the same?

I tend to doubt it.

I like to out the ignorant too much to leave. I make this a better place by doing so. Of course you don't like it because you're one of them.

Exactly as expected.

I'll just wait until they catch on to your sorry act and your privileges are revoked once and for all.

Tick tock...

Please keep it up, it will make the end come that much quicker and be better for all of us.

The second you go, the second this board will be better for it.

Oh wait you want a guy like Bill cowher it only took him 15 yrs to win 1 superbowl in pittsburg. Yep Jerry will not listen to people like you. Garrett is the right guy. You seem to be a product of todays generation of right now, you want things handed to you

lol Dude who said anything about Bill Cowher? Not me.

You don't know me one bit, and I can assure you my success is all me going out there making it myself. Your self righteous BS attitude is whats wrong with today's society. You want people to conform to your thoughts and views, and if they don't we are the problem. You are a silly man.

just goes to show your football ignorance. Bil Cowher got to the playoffs his first SIX YEARS and made it to the AFC championship game. Comparing Garret to that is beyond GARBAGE EVEN FOR YOU

THEN HE REBUILT THE TEAM IN THREE YEARS that in the end won a SB.

See how STUPID your post is?
