I doubt anybody signs him. The dude has a substance abuse problem. Everybody's seen him wasted and high at College Station. He's already been suspended in the NFL 4 games which means he's got caught twice and the next one is a year long suspension. And now he's bipolar? Not too mention he may have been suffering from "Afluenza" all along. Nah, we're good. If we need another prospect let's draft one.

People judging Manziel's NFL talent level based on his playing time in Cleveland is ridiculous. What player other than Joe Thomas has had a great career playing in Cleveland in the last 10 years? The combination of Johnny's immaturity and playing for a disaster of a franchise was a recipe for failure.

With a 90 man training camp roster what does this team have to lose. Jerry loves the media attention and if Dak can't handle the competition, then he needs to find another line of work. I don't believe Manziel would beat out Dak for QB1, but you have to admit the preseason games would be a lot more fun to watch.

I would love to watch Johnny Manziel again. With that said, he needs a specific coach, and Jason Garrett isn't it. He is doomed to failure if he comes here, IMO.

NO, if the cowboys are going to spend money in free agency, there are other more important positions in which to invest

On a serious note, if Manziel were truly committed and so on, he would be up in Canada proving himself.

He is a fool if he thinks any team, even if Jones got a wild hair, would sign him and invite the circus to town.

It is too bad. He was an electric college QB. I admit, I bought into the football character and discounted the off the field things which honestly most of us don't know the half of it.

It's going to take a miracle for him to ever play on an NFL level with the rigors of an NFL schedule.

It doesn't help that his family allowance is more than he'd make on any kind of prove it deal anyway.

We're not the team to make this kind of move.

Manziel is a lightning rod and it just won't work for him in Dallas.

But it would work for Jerry. Johnny Football jerseys would fly off the shelves. Cha-ching for Jerry.

Jerry hasn't made many of these moves recently.

We're pretty much a team of boy scouts for NFL standards and have been for awhile.

If your a drinking man, I'd recommend you go ahead and stock up on whatever "mind numbing" agent you prefer. If, on the other hand, drinking is not your thing, then I would recommend you strongly consider taking it up.

I did.

I saw him at the frat party in Austin where his picture went viral because he was the starting qb at Texas a&m attending a UT frat party. This was at the beginning of the johnny football hype.

He was doing keg stands and hitting on ugly tall chicks. I remember this because my girlfriend at the time told me she didn't understand how someone like JM can be both ugly and cute at the same time

Yep. Well, there are still a few exceptions, i.e. Zeke, Randy Gregory, David Irving, Damontre Moore, etc.

It's hard to find an NFL team without some of these types of players.

People shouldn't use the NFL to get on their moral high horse. They'll be disappointed in multi millionaire 20 year olds every time.

Not personal my friend. Just don’t think people should be hypocritical ab Manziel. I also wouldn’t want the Boys to depend on him, hence the 3Qb comment. We have a starter in Dak, that honestly has many question marks himself. And an unproven UDFA in his second year backing him up. I figured, what would it hurt to bring in former 1st rounder that no one would be surprised if he didn’t make it through preseason. I don’t care either way neither..

But if we can bring in trash like Greg Hardy, Joseph Randle, and TO..then let’s not all of a sudden take the high road now. Maybe one day, the gambles pay off
I think Johnny has earned every particle of anyone being hypocritical!!!

If Manziel can stay sober, he's better than Rush by a mile. Rush is not an NFL starting QB.

I don't care about off the field crapp. I only care if they can play, and how they affect the locker room. Basically, you can only have so many Haley types on your team. You can only have so many thug types on your team.

I'm not on any moral high horse, I don't know these guys personally, and I would care about their personal life if I did. I don't, so I only care about their personal life as far as it affects the team.

Johnnyidiotmoron's personal life has a huge effect on his team. Therefore, I don't want him. There's no moral high horse involved at all, I'm simply afraid of the effect on the team, and I dang sure don't trust him far enough to rely on him as a backup.

I think it's sad that you guys turned immediately to some moral hogwash to bash us guys who don't want him. I'd hazard a guess and say that most who don't want him are like me and don't care about the moral issue. I'm a fan of the Cowboys, and I want what's best for this team, period.
