Calmness under pressure!! When Romo scrambled around left end and got tripped up at the 2 yard line, he should have dove with the ball out stretched as far as he could. He didn’t do that. He kept the ball at his hip and was short of a TD by a yard. This was not the only mistake he made during his career because he let the pressure get to him. Another example: In the 2014 playoff game vs GB when he fumbled late in the 2nd quarter. While in shotgun formation with the ball IN THE AIR Romo looked toward the left, away from the ball, when he looked back the ball was on him and he fumbled. What QB looks away from the ball while it is a matter of feet from your hands. The next play GB blocked our FG attempt. That play shifted the momentum to GB.
Except that he was one of the best late 4th quarter, clutch time, QBs in NFL history.
The actual facts show that.
You guys obsess on the negatives only.
Dissect every little thing imaginable.

News just in, the guy was not perfect. Nor was any player that ever played.
hell, Tom Brady had THREE game ending, clutch time, game-losing interceptions in just one season. And he is/was much better than Romo, obviously.

Not necessary. I'm already aware of your childish and irrational obsession with hating on Romo, and that he was not always perfect.
It was just a poor example using a special teams play photo that you probably have you on your wall with vaseline in hand....ammo for your cheap insults.
Just a chump move on your part....notice I didn't actually call you a chump. But your hate for Romo IS very chump-like.

Obsession? Talk about hypocritical, lol. Maybe I wouldn’t comment about him as much as I do if some of you would get over your love affair with him and accept the fact that he is no longer a professional football player in the NFL, he’s not the best commentator to ever call a game and he doesn’t walk on water. The endless drooling over him in almost every thread is ridiculous, it’s worse than a 7th grader with his first girlfriend.

I have plenty of other photos on my “wall” that I’ll be more than happy to share, I just hope you don’t run out of tissues. Put on your big boy pants and move on from him, he’s done.

Except when the game actually meant something. Sorry, participation points mean nothing in the NFL.

I know Romo has his flaws.
I've never been one to put him on par or ahead of some of the greats.
So don't count me in that bunch.
I'm not in the Dak hater bunch either.

But those nit-picking on his fails go way overboard, and that's when I end up losing respect for the posters and coming to his defense.
People that think that way about Romo, well, like Belichick said, I just have hard time respecting their football IQ.

It's really the only topic that gets me riled up because that negative narrative is just so...wrong.
I'm otherwise pretty mellow.

Interesting watch. Admittedly I skipped around but the number of uncatchable balls far outweighed the number of "drops".
Well over half the "uncatchable balls" were actually thrown away because he wasn't open, but that doesn't fit the agenda.

Well, in his last three games with playoff implications or actual playoffs on the line, he was pretty special.
2013. Week 16 at Washington. Lose and season is over. Late 4th quarter, game winning drive and TD pass to win. All with an excruciating herniated disc, that kept him out of week 17.
2014. Playoff game. Late 4th quarter...game winning drive and TD pass vs Detroit to win.
2014 Playoff game. 143 QB rating. Late 4th quarter perfect pass to Dez on the 2 that was caught then over-turned after Dez tried to extend to the end-zone. Only incomplete pass the 2nd half.

He also led the team to wins and often late 4th quarter, game winning drives vs the rival Giants the last 5 times he faced them. Just throwing that in because all those games are pressure packed.

Sure he had some bad ones before then. at Washington in 2012 comes to mind. No doubt. But you guys act like he never did anything right at times.

More excuses from a Romo loving loser who trolls the site looking to argue with people. I quoted stats the other day and you call me out and make a big deal about how I was wrong about a pick 6 vs an INT that led to a TD. Now I provide stats and they’re not acceptable because they’re a decade old. You’re a joke dude, I’m putting you on ignore to prevent myself from getting banned and because you literally provide nothing. All you do is try to prove people wrong to make yourself feel better.

BTW, I guess you didn’t want to take me up on meeting for a beer? No surprise. Reply all you want and feel free PM me so I can tell you what I really think but I’m done with you. For me to put you on ignore says enough, it takes a monumental idiot for that to happen.
lol... your stats aren’t a decade old, your thinking is. Dak’s 13 interceptions wouldn’t have looked so bad in 2007... a whopping 14 QBs had at least that many. But in 2017 Dak was one of the worst in the league at turning the ball over.
And I wish there was a way I could see if all of these trolls were really ignoring me. It’s always funny when they reply to me again in a couple of weeks when they forget they were supposed to be ignoring me because they can’t stop reading my posts.

I think he was a great player overall but the fact is he had opportunities and blew it at some of the most crucial times. If you want to call us out for “bashing” Romo over his BIG mistakes then why not call out the people who consistently talk about how great he was and how much better we would be today if he were still here? It’s pointless, inaccurate since it’s all hypothetical and annoying.

I’m also sick of the constant bashing of Dak and using Romo as the benchmark. The guy didn’t get it done, plain and simple. On a somewhat related topic, I know JG isn’t the best coach but Romo was a large part of why we didn’t make the playoffs or do better when we did but I realize that can be argued both ways which I really don’t want to get into again because it’s been talked about ad nauseam.

Glad you mentioned 2012. No doubt he did some great things and perhaps I don’t acknowledge that so it appears I despise him or something but it’s more due to being annoyed by the persistent fawning over him and using him to bash Dak. Just like talking about the SB’s like they were yesterday, he’s gone, it’s over, let’s move on and try to focus positively on the present.

The throw vs Atlanta wasn’t low. Clear drop

The deep one vs Rams was a terrible angle for Prescott.

The deep one vs Eagles wasn’t bad ball placement. Throwing the ball 60+ yards down the field, throwing across your body, you’re just trying to give the receiver a chance. Dak did that.

Some of those passes were thrown away. Some of those passes had no chance because Dez was beaten by coverage.

Dak was off in the first game, I thought it was more opening day jitters than anything.

There is no way of knowing that. And for throwing the ball away he quite often left it up for grabs inside. Frankly this take doesn't pass the smell test.

Plenty of blame to go around here, Dak, Dez, Coaching, injuries, but Dez is the seasoned vet and he dropped way too many catchable balls this year..

These two need to stay after practice and develop better chemistry if injuries aren’t a factor....

All this video shows is that the entire offense was struggling in 2017. Anyone who got Dak sucks out of these examples is a complete moron.

Presently our QB situation isn't solidified.

The narrative that Romo was done is ridiculous. Freak injury in the preseason, sat on the bench all season, his back would have been just fine. So easy to say that he was done but I call a BS to that.
