I'll take that as an admitted concession.

But sure, that's fair enough to let things sort themselves out. Let's just keep in mind that any "situation" regarding Collins moving is speculation from Todd Archer in a tweet and nothing more.

And that Fleming was a #4 tackle who played due to injury.
As of late, we know Dallas loves being frugal, so lets say the Cowboys views/project Fleming as a starting caliber RT. Sign Fleming for a modest price, and kick Collins back to LG. Starting Oline for next year potentially solved and at a reasonable cost. Just

Conversely, sign Fleming for a modest price, punt both Green and don't re-sign Bell, and you're better covered if Tyron Smith or La'el Collins gets hurt.

Resign Cooper to hold down left guard until you draft his replacement.

Not unless they draft someone. They take 7 to gameday and Green would be the swing tackle and they need to draft a guard center or sign one to also be active on gameday.

Right now I would say cooper and bell are out.

It took Doug Free a few years to be able to play also so there is no reason to get rid of chaz green
looney is the backup g/c

He played well in both games he played in during the 2016 season at tackle.

Ancient history and well overshadowed by his beyond horrid performances last year. Did he even see the field again?

bad move stop moving people..let fleming be a swing tackle for depth and sign cooper or a true LG . stop this crap they should have learned the double switch with chaz/cooper and a a lot of other trying to replace leary and move Collins was a failure and set us back but by season end it started to gel..stop FN with the continuity.

Sorry, but it’s what I’ve been asking for. Sign a T and move La’el beck to LG. He’s not a T.

Either way works for me.

i disagree he finished strong..he was playing as well as Free did by years end..why move him again..stop the madness..

Correct. They don't know what they're talking about. They're the same people who said he wasn't a tackle and then went quiet when the Cowboys moved him out there.

This is a nonsense issue with all the real problems this roster has.

The more I think about it, the more likely he goes back to New England.

He’s probably coming to Dallas for a free meal, see some friends and family. They’ll use us to up his money in New England
unless dallas lays out some cash he will go back to new england

If signing Flemming and kicking Collins back inside improves this team, there is really no reason not to like it. All I care about is winning games and changing the culture in Dallas. I don't give a **** who plays where. If it's a move that benefits the team, do it.

And so would Chaz Green on the OL. What's your point?

He grew up in Houston so maybe he would like to play at home (sort of) in Texas.

Seems like a solid upgrade from bell and greens performance last year. I would be concerned if they overpay for him and then think he is the right tackle and collins is the left guard and they do not draft a guard or a tackle in april.

He has experience in coming as the third tight end in New England Like Dallas did with looney the past two years and jeremy parnell the year before.

also interesting he played for Mike Bloomgren at stanford who had previously worked as the assistant under Bill Callahan with the jets. So the system is probably similar...assuming anderson keeps the same principles.

I still think collins is a better guard and got beat a bunch at tackle last year. I was under the assumption he was not getting moved again so this is interesting anyway.

Does seem that way. The suggestion that Collins would move back to guard is just that, a suggestion made by a media guy. I doubt he has access to management decisions. Speculation. Let's wait for the signing. NE may sign him back.Seems like a decent upgrade over Green and Bell. Big need. Also means swing tackle drops down on the priority list in the draft. This Martin guy might be a nice back up guard too. A lot depends on Cooper. If he leaves (I won't cry if he does) draft a G. There are a couple of nice ones early

too much invested to move Collins...AGAIN.
plus,he didnt play himself OUT of the OT spot...the opposite...he EARNED it.
Fleming will be paid, maybe, starter money to secure the most glaring hole in the OL...swing Tackle....If he can play OG...even better.
Draft Hernandez at 19...or other at 50 to up-grade OG spot.
Sign Martin or Cooper to be the back-up.
maybe sign both with Martin replacing Looney.

G is very deep in the draft.
