No one here heard the discussions between stephen, jerry, and Garrett regarding dez. No one here heard the discussion between Jerry and dez. Clearly, when the door shut the decision had already been made. Goodbye, good luck, good riddance. Lot of haranguing over nothing.

You are gonna mess around and run into something back peddling lol.
I have a dog that loves to look backward while walking forward. I can't tell you how many times I've just let him walk into a pole, or a mailbox, or a bush.

Dez has never been a FA...... he is going to take a minute and explore the options unless he is blown away..... he might get even more offers after the Draft

It feels good to be woo'ed

BTW- there is over 514m left league wide on the salary cap.... there is plenty of money left to get

Its been almost a week now and he hasn't signed anywhere, it sounded to me like an NFC East team was all but ready to get him when he said he looks forward to playing us twice a year.

He also hasn't visited with any team either.

thoughts?

People don't think as much of him as some on here do. But I'm sure most teams are waiting until after the draft.

I heard this morning that the Cowboys tried hard to trade him, but no team would take on his contract. Couldn't even get a 7th round pick for him because of that salary.

He's probably looking at a 1-year prove-it deal for about $6 million.

Roc Nation is useless. They don't work hard for their clients.

Didn't Roc Nation get Dez a contract that many said was too much or not deserved back when it was signed? I'd say that was a success on their part.

The fact that they waited until the last day and the complete lack of other explanations. Other than some fans trying to invent things so they can feel better.

If I saw another one, maybe I'd think differently. But there isn't one.

There have been several reports they tried to trade Dez, and while it may not fit what you want to believe, it is an explanation. And there are other possible explanations. Just because we don't have a microphone and camera in Jerry and Stephen's office at all times doesn't mean they are sitting idle doing nothing.

Surely you understand there are more things going on in the world than what is directly in your line of site.

As for explanations, how do you explain that Jerry has been a Dez champion, drafting him after getting in trouble in college, defending him with all the drama that has followed Dez over the years, and that now he has a sudden urge to spite Dez?

Obviously I can't prove what the team was doing or for how long, but I'm not trying to. I don't know with certainty they spent any real effort trying to trade him at all, What I'm telling you is we are only talking about 17 days or so, which is not a lot of time, and only a small part of the free agency period, and there very easily could be other explanations for what filled that time than an effort to spite Dez.

Nobody wants him, dude. Don't know what to tell you.

If somebody says, "we'll take him, but you pay him", that's not a trade offer. If somebody offers to swap 7th round picks with you, that's not a trade offer for a player of Dez' pedigree.

Those are just insults to Dez.

He'll sign somewhere for a tiny fraction of what his contract was.

You are contradicting yourself. No one wants him but "He'll sign somewhere for a tiny fraction.." Which one is it?

There's no risk on a cheap contract. He acts up, you kick him to the curb. No harm done.

Nobody wants him enough to pay him any more than a typical veteran has-been.

Now if 2 or 3 teams step forward, maybe he can squeeze another year out of them. But right now, everybody seems just fine waiting, unless he'll sign for cheap and easy.

Of course not. Dez is 30 years old. He's not in his prime anymore. Why on earth would he get a big deal at this point in his career? Even if it is a cheap deal...its a deal. I'm not sure what you are even arguing at this point.

Can you produce some of these "reports" please? Thanks.

Sure. I also understand fabrication as well.

Feel free to invent them so that you can feel better about things.

Let's see, WR's were a big commodity in FA already. The draft is in two weeks. His flipping off his team mates might have some questioning his "team friendliness". Then there is the $$ thang. He may want to be paid like Sammy but teams may only want to pay like spammy. Who knows
