I cant stop watching it. Garrett is way more of motivator than I anticipated. Almost to point I don't think he is problem. He still needs major improvements in time management in games. If anything I thought Linehan came off weak and didn't relate well with players.
 That’s all you Garrett guys got is him being a motivator? Weget it. Nobody disagrees that he’s a good motivator. Now what else does he bring? lets ask Chaz Green what Garrett brings. Or let’s ask the whole offense minus Zeke what he brings. The whole documentary was him saying be physical and run 21 into the ground.

I see where you're going, but I tend to cut the staff a little slack. Especially if you watched the series. They were up against injuries, suspensions and distractions all season long.
If it were second level back ups I would have a different opinion. But the best LT, RB, LB and kicker in the NFL were missing. LG was atrocious and we had a new RT. Add all of Dez's shenanigans and it's a lot to overcome.

Seems like that is all he does. 7.5 years of preaching what should be the minimum requirement for a professional athlete...effort. I get you may have to occasionally remind players of that, but when that is the majority of what you do, it is a problem. Not only that, the coaches have to say the same thing or they lose their job. They have to be Garett’s puppet.

I can’t see this team winning anything with Garrett. Someone is going to have to come in and try to get this team over the hump or these young guy’s careers will be wasted.

If anyone watches Episode 2 - about 24 minutes in - check out the Dez TD against the Cards where he gets mobbed at the 5 and the O-Line shoves the pile over the goal line. From what you know of the new rules this season, do you think this would be called back for the way Martin entered the pile? I doubt that is the kind of hit they are worried about, but he lowered his head.

The more football I watch after this rule change the scarier it is looking at how many plays could be possibly called if all players don't significantly change the way they play. Seems like it is going to have more impact and could be applied even more subjectively than offensive holding currently is.

Stop it. I deal with different types of leadership on a daily/monthly/yearly basis. I said that BUM is actually a good leader. He’s just not a good football coach. Those two things can be true.

I get the anti-Garrett narrative. But to be honest, its lazy. If you watch that show with open eyes you will see Garrett is about #15 on problem list with that team. Everyone seems to gloss over how totally unrelatable Linehan is and how awkward he is trying to be cool enough with Dak. Or how Jones surround themselves with themselves and likely out of touch with real humans. They focus on hot dog bun...that's their day. I have no problem with them being business/marketing centric but when you take those figures and drop them into team meetings, post-game speeches its a problem. Big problem. And then we get to WR coach who doesn't know if he should be their form of comedy or their superior who they should fear on some level. Then we move onto Zeke who looks babied, late and sleepy most of the time. This is just scratching the surface but this notion that all Cowboys problem lie with head coach is laughable.

Holy exaggeration, Batman. Yes, it would be laughable if someone is suggesting all Cowboys problems lie with the head coach. Good thing is I don't see anyone doing it.

its been really tough for me to watch as it rehashes the entire bad parts of last season, its giving me flashbacks i didnt need over that 3-4 bad games we had..

it is hard to relate to a Family that uses Helicopters to go every where..lol

you are most likely right about Garett , most don't say he is horrible most realize hes Average maybe as aleader above average and at least this program shows he can be tougher than we saw and they don't except soft play etc..however most here realize he just isn't agreat X and Os in game adjusting type coach, hes captain not ageneral , we need afield general to take us further than weve been.. At some point also players tune guys out, although weve turned the team over a lot the last 3 years so a lot of younger new ears and eyes on him, but hes simply not the true general we need..

Wade Wilson seemed like a soft pushover, I hope Kellen Moore can be a little more up-to-date.
He or someone did an outstanding job 2016 getting Dak to 13 wins, but he must have failed 2017.

After watching the whole series, I like what Gary Brown does. He connects with his players.

Even Garrett, bless him, seemed a little less robotic.

On the negative side, I can see why they decided to move away from Pollack. That whole practice week leading up to the Chaz Green nuke bomb just seemed weird.

It was kind of odd how the entire defensive coaching staff was hardly featured. There was an awkward Joe Baker moment where he had the charisma of a disinterested substitute teacher. There was more with Lee leading the defense than Marinelli. It is like he was a professor emeritus and not that down into the details.

Even Bisaccia got more facetime than Marinelli.

After watching the series, I can see why JG has only one one playoff game in 7 years. He wants to be the players BFF more than their HC/Boss. He reminds me of a pop warner coach. Trying not to offend his star players saying "Don't worry kids, it's ok to screw up. We'll just get 'em next time". Give me a freakin break. These are grown men playing a violent sport.

People get all caught up and emotional about what they saw, I watched the entire thing, and the one thing that sticks out to me is coaching. You have to be a dot by dot schemer in this league today or you will drown. I liked watching Garrett, but this coaching staff, if it doesn't change it's scheme and start winning battles on Sunday/Monday/Thursday, it's going no where.

Primary message from coaches revolves around effort but little about executing at a high level. Mistakes seem to be alright as long as you tried hard. Garrett’s message is great for a new coach but when it is 7 years into the process, effort should be a given.

Jerry babies the players so even a harder coach probably wouldn’t have much luck.

Players seem bored to tears in the meeting rooms.
Sean Lee looks like he runs the defensive meetings. Dez was a cancer in his. Zeke looks like he just smoked for 10 hours straight.

It is no wonder why this team can beat teams they have the talent advantage over but struggle against the better teams as they also give effort but probably have more of an emphasis on executing at a higher level than what our staff expects.

Just a toxic environment in terms of a wanting to be a part of a winning culture but a great environment to make a good living.

I was bug supported if the staff until mid-2016. Watching the first episode I was actually impressed by Garrett and was hopeful. However, watching the next 7 episodes I have less confidence in them now than I did prior to watching the show.
This is the most negative take you could have after watching the show. None of your post has an iota of truth to it. Just your ******* agenda coming out again and again and again. It’s so boring and depressing.

Garrett came off much better than I thought.

He still doesn’t do much of anything, and he just yells meaningless things:

- All we do is fight
- We have to execute
- All right 21 good job

I actually like him slightly more now even though I still think he is an incredible waste of space.

I think Garrett is a very nice guy. I just cant stand him coaching the Cowboys. He needs to run for president or something. But get out of coaching in the NFL. Maybe go back to pop warner and learn the X's and O's. Be a head coach for while down there. Get a feel for the game and work your way up to highschool and then college.
