This goes back a ways for us.

Watch the All Romo/TO TDs and All Romo/Dez TDs. It's stunning to watch how much separation TO got compared to Dez.

But as for Dak being most accurate, this shows our receivers getting the least separation.

Does NextGen have a stat for QB misses? Dak threw a lot of bad balls on open receivers too.

This is a great point. It also seems like from my poor memory that almost all of our big plays came when Romo wouldavoid the rush and the play would break down-Dak the same.

The passing game was largely a scramble game under Romo. But you're right - the same for Dak in 2016. He was phenomenal with his accuracy when he rolled out.

I remember a Danny White article about the team needing to have more timing passes under Romo. We were "throw when he's open", not throw to a time and place. Trouble is, if your receivers can't run routes and get separation, you can't play the timing game.

Dez, Williams, Escobar, Street. Not a lot of route running there.

I remember there was big talk, I think before 2015, about how well Tony and Beasley were "in sync". Yeah, lots of "sync" with the guy who can actually run routes. Would have been nice to see Tony get some real time with Butler too.

So called sudden o-line decline, receiver decline, and whatever other issues we've had since the new qb, but people never want to believe what they see for some reason. Again, no one is saying it's ALL him, I wish I didn't have to reiterate that since my point would be lost immediately.

I was simply referring to how the decline included 2015.

Does that make you feel better? Does that make the team better? Being right about a negative is not making the team better. AT this point if the Wr,dont develop, get injured and Dez helps some other team get better you still gonna be smiling about being right?
Yes. I feel invigorated.

now Troy's a hater cause he doesn't blow smoke up everyones butt. lmao.. he tells it like it is. I rather hear that than some guy lying about how great we are..
Not only Troy but anyone! Reality is coming and it's coming in the form of a steel toed Kodiak work boot kick to the face by the Carolina Panthers.
Dak will be at 9 bad games and counting.

I'll just say this...Brady, Brees and Rogers are not evaluated by stats these days...they are evaluated by leading their teams to the playoffs and getting to SB's... just saying.

Hmmm, and was that how they were evaluated after their 2nd years? Brees had just finished his first season as a starter at 8-8 & a 76.9 rating. Rodgers has played in a grand total of 5 games, starting none, and attempted 31 passes, completing less than 50%. Brady is the outlier, having just won a Super Bowl, but even in his case, he was set to be cut his rookie year during TC until an injury to John Friesz saved him.

I think your "Magic 8-ball" is pretty busted up.

None of these qbs you bums have mentioned would have played better than Dak under the circumstances..Like I said over and over, you guys are not facing up to the global issues. IF it was just Dak then id have that opinion, it wasnt..Now if Dak plays like that this season with 16 games of a healthy oline, Elliot for 16, Yada then maybe. This is his third season...Remember i still believe not going back to Romo was a mistake, so Im not defending Dak for that reason, I just think you guys are not evaluating him or the rest of the issues properly...New car smell fans!

If Dak was a victim of circumstances in 2017, I certainly wouldn't judge his future based on 2018 where they've built a roster without a receiving corps.

That doesn't seem fair at all.
sometimes life isnt fair particularly if your job is in the NFL.Dak has to get the ball to the open guy. some drops are going to happen

Frankly, that's exactly what doesn't happen with Dak. He works progressions as well as any QB in the game. At the top of the job description are words "does not panic". He's as methodical in play execution as they come.

Other than his short touch, under 5 yards, it's very hard to find many faults in his game. That's why he throws so few screens. Throwing 10y - 25y yard mid range patterns, no one is better at it in the modern NFL. In a timing system you'd have to go back to Aikman or Warner to find anyone as good. When you see articles calling Dak the most accurate tight window thrower in the game - it's true.

And that don't happen *in this system* without very disciplined execution of progressions and monster arm.
thank you geeze sometimes the posts shake my head

Some of you will believe anything to make yourselves feel better about this heavily flawed QB.

I mean the man himself said the number 1 thing he needs to work on is accuracy, but nope he's still the "most accurate QB in the league"

I swear some of you were in a coma all of last season.
"He's done a lot of good things, but he knows, we know, everybody knows he's got to get better," Garrett said, per ESPN. "One of the exciting things about him is he has such a determination to get better every day. He has a great spirit. He loves the game. He's going to work very hard at it. I think he has to work on the physical part. The fundamentals have to continue to be refined. And that's everybody. That's footwork, delivery, getting away from center, his mechanics in the gun, getting the ball out quicker, being more accurate. All the things that every quarterback in this league is working on, he has to continue to refine those.
I watched the games just like you what I didnt do was swing wildly over reacting
