The team can not fall apart because of 1 injury

Oh, I know. Already been down this path with you before several times as have others. I already know your responses. There isn't an acceptable answer for you. And when someone does give you a good coach that you would love to have, you just dismiss it as not being possible candidate because of Jerry. You've already admitted as such. I just find it funny you still claim things like "I continue to ask who we could bring in" as if nobody has ever had this discussion with you before like you're suffering from Alzheimer's and can't recall the many, many times it has already occurred.
And why must there be an acceptable answer?

I’m sure my argument doesn’t sway everyone . Not sure why you’d expect yours to?

A forum like this presents an opportunity for all of us to share our opinions and let others decide for themselves.

No, there isn't any frustration whatsoever. You're trying to claim you keep asking who we can bring in as if no one will ever answer your question when you've admitted there is no good answer to the question. That's why it can't be answered, there is NO acceptable answer. You've never been interested in an honest discussion about coaches. You're only interest, and you've admitted as such, is for you to influence people to put all the blame on Jerry and not on Garrett.
I’m not defending Garrett from the mistakes and weaknesses he’s had as HC.

And Garrett definitely deserves some blame but ultimately a coach like Garrett is and remains to be here because of Jerry’s agendas. That would appear a reasonable perspective to present.

I have every right to spin the argument to support my narrative. I challenge others to argue on their behalf.

I guess maybe because when you ask a question some may believe you are inviting an open discussion and an exchange of opinions rather than some trap you setting for them in which you already know there is no answer that will satisfy you, but they don't.

Excellent ringing endorsement from the President of the Jason Garrett fan club. No rebuttal needed from any of the haters. clap, clap, clap, butt slap!

Again, why does it have to satisfy me?

You seem upset that I argue my position relentlessly and vigorously attempting to shoot down opinions I differ with.

But you’d rather take me on personally to discredit me since you’ve become frustrated arguing my opinion and narrative.

Others just ignore and move on but you are continuing to give this argument life.

Nothing has changed all these years. Others just ignore and move on but you are counting to give this argument life.
We are stuck with Corky for at least another year proving how inept Jerry is at running the team. Good day, sir.

We’ve had more qualified and experienced HC’s this era who haven’t had anymore success than our Lead Puppet.

Ask yourself. Do you like the direction the team has headed? Do you like the better decisions being made overall? Do you like the current culture?

When did this all begin to take shape ? Are we in a better place now than when Garrett took over?

All that’s left for all to see the progress is more success on the field because it appears thats the barometer some have. And there is some evidence there if fans can get past their initial anger and frustration if they choose to look for the positive contributions and effects .

Garrett has also brought stability despite not having more success. We’ve only had one losing season and competitive in every other season he’s led us without having a top 5 defense or HOF level QB.

I’m not endorsing Garrett is a great HC. He obviously has had some growing pains and mistakes he’s made. But without final say in most things football as most HC have and interference we have with ownership also posing as GM in the most bizarre situation in the NFL I see Garrett as the best conduit this era providing a more normal situation as we could have considering the situation presented.

Would I like to see more success? Of course!!
Do I see another HC who would come in here and have more influence Jerry, absolutely not!!

That’s the bottom line. At first I thought Garrett was completely over his head but after 2014 I realized if he had enough talent he could take us to higher ground. But that’s the key. Some fans think we’ve already had enough talent.
I think the team has enough talent to compete with any team and I don't believe Garrett is responsible at all for that. I would say it's McClay and Stephen. The issue with Jason is the team is able to beat weaker opponents and that's why we see the Cowboys yoyo from year to year. Jason doesn't do well against equally talented teams because he has to coach more and make adjustments that he just isn't capable of making. I heard an ex NFL player describe the Dallas Cowboys offense that they run and he said that they run the same offense week in and week out and do not scheme for their opponents. He also said the Steelers run that same offense but it works better for them because they are more talented. He also stated not many teams in the league have enough talent to run that offense. He also stated that is why it's easier to prepare to play Dallas because you know exactly what they want to do. Now that sounds to me like Garrett doesn't like to do his homework and prepare this team for each individual opponent.

Coaching is the great equalizer in today's NFL.

Did anyone think the Eagles were the most talented team in the NFL last year?

Pederson did a great job when it counted and he won a title with a backup QB.

To say a head coach is just a harmless victim to the talent he has is just intellectually insulting.

Competing with any team and having enough talent to beat them are not necessarily one in the same.

Not many teams playing for championships without a Top 5 defense and or QB.

The Eagles had a top 5 defense and QB playing at MVP level which led to best record .

Then their defense carried them and their backup QB played at MVP level.

Pedersen deserves some credit but who is winning championships without an elite defense and or QB.

So coaching had zero to do with no drop off from MVP QB to backup MVP QB?

Let's see Garrett do anything close to that.

First of all Foles was more than just a backup. He’d started before and would be starting somewhere else this year if not still under contract.

And Garrett did something similar in 2016 with Dak but I don’t guess he gets credit for that?

Did he win a Super Bowl?

Garrett had homefield advantage that year and choked with the game on the line, refusing to run the ball with Elliott, giving Rodgers time to exploit the weak defense.

Sorry, no credit for the regular season nonsense. That is the same kind of garbage people like you raked Wade Phillips over the coals for.

At least be consistent.

But your not going to get a top 5 defense or develop a top 5 QB without coaching.

It actually begins in the draft. I had hoped when Romo was done Coach G would get an opportunity to draft the heir apparent .

It’s beginning to look like my hope now rest on having a top 5 defense with 8 of the 11 starters 1st and 2nd rounders and 2 others 3rd round.

It’s always about the talent and why our running game became dominant . Great coaching assembles the talent.

I'm sorry but it just can not happen again.

Frederick is a huge loss. His loss effect's the entire line. That's the reality.

It just can not be an excuse for the coaches though if the wheels fall off.

They will have had a few weeks to prepare for this and 1 hole in the boat that isn't the QB shouldn't sink the boat.

If Dallas fails this year then Jason Garrett just can not escape because of this 1 injury.

We can not have a coach that makes his team so fragile that the whole thing falls apart with an injury.

Completely agree. JG and his staff need to figure this out, no excuses.

Why should this effect strategy? a) we still have 3 well above average O linemen and b) allegedly Zeke carries this team and can run with a lot of success behind any O line. There’s no reason Zeke still shouldn’t have a ton of yards.

As much as losing Fred hurts, we’re still better on the O line than most teams. I’m suprised to see so many people throwing in the towel, it’s ridiculous.
I wouldn't throw in the towel yet. Looney might do a pretty decent job. No he's not a T. Frederick, but he might be able to do OK for a while, and he just might keep improving.
To me, the bigger problem is that Looney was also the backup for G, and we have a rookie LG. With Looney filling in at C, that means we are thinner at depth again. I hope Connor Williams can hold down the fort at LG.

There are plenty of coaches in this league who would be better than Garrett.
Garrett plays the role of a motivator and that is it. He has no real skill set to make a difference. We run an offense that most of us could call at home it is so predictable, and his lack of ability to adjust is just mind boggling. He is not good, and aside from Bill Parcels, we haven't had a good HC since Jimmy
We are stuck with Garrett for atleast this year so No sense in wasting any more time on this subject.
