We had a first down at midfield with a timeout down by 3 on the road. And we ran THREE plays. THREE! That takes a special kind of clock mismanagement. Epic bad. But we've come to expect and accept this type of finish with Red.

Calls like that show you that the league is obviously tipping games with officiating. They were calling penalties on us all night while avoiding obvious holding calls and the such on the Commanders.

Really. Conspiracy theory much?

"NOTHING TO SEE HERE" EH? What about the phantom penalty on the long snapper that cost us a closer kick? That happened right? Just checking. Plenty of mistakes were made, I agree...but Dak more than did his job late. We failed Dak and Beasley...with the gift from the ref to the home team.

I'm not talking about the weak illegal procedure call. I'm simply addressing all this complaining about the conservative play by Garrett and the stance that's what cost us the game. But, about the IP call, it still didn't cost us the game. You cannot argue that the kick would've been good from 47 or 42. Yes, THAT kick from that play would've been good from 10 yards closer, but there's not a parallel universe where that play unfolds exactly the same, just 5 or 10 yards closer.

While I agree.....I have to say I'd rather lose with Dak throwing a fumble or INT then I would missing a field goal....but maybe Garrett is protecting his QB from idiots who would blame him for a mistake.

I'd rather not lose. But I think you're also correct in that you play differently if you have a QB with 10 years experience and the OL had not struggled like they had for most of the game.

You are aware the long snapper is not Looney, right?

It's L. P. Ladouceur.

He has been the long snapper since Landry was in his first contract.

You need to find my earlier post. We were talking about Connor Williams, not L.P.

I mean it can't possibly occur despite the fact that former NBA official Tim Donahy already revealed that such tilted officiating occurs in the NBA. Is the nfl is such a special league that a similar set of circumstances can't happen?

But the Cowboys should have gone for a TD. They had time on the clock, but Garrett played for a long field goal. I am so upset right now because this s@@@ is never gonna change.

What’s dumb is thinking it was TD or try a 47 yard FG as the only two options.

LOL.

I'm addressing those critics like the moron RJ Ochoa who wrote this:
"The Cowboys completely mishandled their final possession and sheepishly played for overtime"

What juvenile drivel.

doesn't matter if you turn the game off, revenues are set years in advance, why is the Kansas City/Cincinatti game a blowout? Hell why do so many prime time games suck? Seems like the NFL would make those close every time.

The revenues are set in advance because the NFL negotiates rates that are entirely based on ad revenue. If Ad revenue tanked, the next contract would take a huge hit.

And you can't referee a Bills game or Jets game into a close game. You could give Patton Oswalt brass knuckles and have him box Manny Pacquiao but he would still lose.

I agree with Tony Dungy.
while we're at it...lets hire him as our H.C.

LOL....But no:thumbdown:

Wouldn't shock me if that would be Jerry's next move though. Playing the race card @ head coach...I mean he's tried everything else in the deck and failed.

So it's Looney's fault he's a liability? Don't know that Frederick could have helped with that hold.
If Looney was the plan at center Williams wouldn't be the left guard, pretty simple especially since Williams never even played guard before.
