Yeah,I went on Helman’s twitter. He didn’t like this deal either...it’s too costly. Looks like Stephen is the one who pulled this deal. It’s a total desperation move too. I seriously think they could have gotten him for a 2nd. They didn’t even offer that...just a 1st. Wow...just no negotiations. “Give you a 1st first Reggie...want to make a deal?”

Classic case of chasing a sunk cost. I thought Stephen was the smart one.

The difference between this and Roy Williams is Roy was coming in as a number 2 as an excuse for Garrett’s failing passing game and to take pressure off TO.

This was done for as a number 1 after getting rid of Dez, who they blamed as the reason the QB was having a bad year because of him and after Stephen Jones was taking shots at Dez this season.

Okay. So I suppose if this fails, they can finally conclude that Dak isn't the guy. Might make the trade worthwhile in that case.

Cooper is not lazy like Williams was. I like Cooper. I like what a "real" number one can do for this offense.

But I don't like the trade. Maybe the Cowboys really had no choice. There will be no free agent receivers next season of Cooper's caliber. It was either get him now, or go through 2019 with the same group of guys we had before.

However, why the Cowboys just gave up a 1st straight up bothers me. Could they not have gotten at least a third or fourth back from Oakland in the deal? Or maybe send Oakland a second in 2019 and a conditional pick in 2020 if Cooper gains so many yards, etc.?
Heard they had other offers from Philly and NE

That’s the positive. Dak has gotten his ‘supposed’ number 1, but when he flops, their number 1 is gone.

He made it in 2015 his rookie year and 2016

Your talking about Cooper who also had Carr throwing it to him and not Dak and has had been mediocre this season and last.

Dallas was supposed to revive Roy Williams career too.

The Raiders drops haven’t been little insignificant ones either. They also lead the league by far with 380 air yards left on the field. That’s nearly 11 yards per drop or the equivalent of 35 first down throws. Oh, what this team could have done with another 35 first downs. Currently their 22nd in the NFL, averaging 18.5 first downs per game. Add 35 first downs and they’d be tied for 6th in the league with 21.2 first downs per game.

The worst culprit is Amari Cooper who had 7 drops in the first four games and 10 drops by midseason, which still leads the league. Since then he’s seen just 17 passes with 8 catches and no drops, and may not see another pass this season due to his ankle injury.

It’s just crazy. He’s a good WR,but this team? They got a beat up o-line,a QB who can’t get rid of the ball fast, and a staff who can’t figure out how to get more than a couple yards with 57 seconds on the clock and a TO in their pocket. Looooool. But hey...let’s give away a 1st rounder, and spend a bunch of CAP space while we’re at it too. I’m just numb dude...

I am in favor of bringing back Dez now. He's no longer a no. 1, but he's still good enough to make plays. With him, Cooper, and Beasley with Zeke in the backfield, this can become a potent offense again.

Yeah, i'm just about there. I just need to let off steam.

Can't wait to see how valuable the draft pick is really going to be vs what we get out of Amari.
