You could say that Owens made Romo better. Same with Bryant and Witten.

Owens maybe. But how could you say that about either of the other two?
Bryant ran horrible routes, and the back shoulder throw was his best friend, because Romo could put it exactly where it needed to be.
Witten, while I love the guy, didn't exactly make spectacular grabs. He got open momentarily, which is what he was supposed to do...and Romo knew when to throw him the ball to take advantage of that. I haven't seen anything like that from Dak....yet.

Fans see Dak and his 23rd ranking and 26th ranked passing offense as just a difference in receiving Corp?

They think Dak is a prolific NFL caliber passing QB?

Your right! CowboysZone needs to get back to addressing our current issues. We are not helping our team by talking about hypotheticals.

Great advice!
Talking about the same unreal hypotheticals every week that have zero chance of happening just to fill some mental void of actually winning is desperate, funny and sad all at the same time. Might as well start a thread about if Peter Pan was our QB and how great we would be. Since this team hasn’t won anything significant in over twenty years people create make believe threads like this to help cope with mediocrity.

If romo were our QB we would have been undefeated in every game he played. I know this because he showed me this his entire career.
The team didn’t have as much success as we’d have hoped so Romo sucked even though he became the franchises all time leading passer.

The Cowboys sucked so our QB must suk too. Lol

Are you friggin' kidding me???

Pan would be on a stretcher after one hit. Play the Buccaneers and he'd be having flashbacks, crying for more fairy dust!

If Cowboys with Romo played in a super bowl with Garrett we would stole "Cowboys should have ran Zeke" at 1 yard line from the Seahawks.

I never said we sucked or Romo sucked. I'm just saying Romo was never a 1st team all pro or won an mvp. Can we move on from the guy please. You guys say his name like he's the next coming of jesus christ it's ridiculous. He was good but he had his bad moments as well.

Romo was trashed his entire career with comparisons to his predecessors. Can’t Dak stand the heat ?

But I’m good with measuring Daks passing ability on its own merit. Who does it measure up to in your opinion?

And Romo passing effectiveness can’t be disregarded just because the team didn’t have more success.

Romo never had a Defense that was this good. He also never got to play with Zeke. Romo’s Quick release, sliding within the pocket, and Houdini escapability would make the o-line better. His accuracy would make Cooper, Beasley, and Gallup better. Too bad Dak makes receivers and the o-line worse.

I 100% agree!!!

Yes it can the guy had some of the most timely errors in nfl history. No one here has said Dak is a great passer. Romo was better when he was closer to his 10th season in the league.

39 game selection:

Dallas: 19.5 PPG allowed - 25-14 w/Prescott
Dallas: 21.4 PPG allowed - 27-12 w/Romo @ beginning of career.
Dallas: 24.1 PPG allowed - 26-13 w/Romo @ end of career.

We would be real contenders, but you never know who will actually win it.
It takes a lot of good bounces and breaks.
For example...the 2007 Patriots were one of the better teams in the last decade, yet somehow, on one very weird day, they somehow lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl.

Old news now...the man is long gone.;

Romo may have choked in big games but it doesn’t discount his passing effectiveness or ability.

In actuality is was only a couple big blunders which is a great example how many fans are like a highlight reel. Lol

Football is a game of moments. How players perform in those moments separate the great players from the good players. Romo was a good player.

And if Dak isn’t a great or even good passer and the teams not having playoff success with him why the loyalty?
