College football has become crap! What happened to defense? We wonder why the NFL has so few just good D's, look no further than the Big 12 with an 115 point game and then the Big 10 MI-OSU show down with the #1 D giving up 62 points?

The great game of football is dying before our very eyes. And the NFL is adopting college offenses because the owners changed the rules to get this joke of a sport. I am not watching football, I am watching players play catch. This is getting to be unwatchable glorified crap.

It is like a 7 on 7 passing league.

I'll say it again: I do NOT want Jim Harbaugh. :muttley:

Harbaugh did fine. The DC Jim Brown screwed the pooch. The #1 overall defense in the NCAA and you give up 62? To me, that's just a lack of ability to adjust by Brown or they were way too confident.

The offense didn’t help much throughout the game either. It was 41-19 at one point. UM just got plain whipped. I called this one at work

I feel terrible for him and UCF

I know it wont be popular with some here, but Im not sure UCF wasn't better than Notre Dame
They havent lost in two years and the common opponent comparison (Pittsburgh) was not even close

Pitt always plays ND tough, they’re old rivals.

ND has beaten two division champs in Pitt and Northwestern and two division runner ups in Michigan and Syracuse. Who has UCF beat besides Pitt?

agreed.
whoever is ranked higher...which right now is Ou.
if Ou beats texas in a close one....but Ohio St wins in a blow-out...your guess is as good as mine.
Im biased for Ou but you can easily make the case for Ohio St.
beating the 4th ranked team like THAT is impressive.
as a fan...Id like to see them BOTH in it...Ou is my team and I like Urban Meyer and Ohio St.

So long as Bama wins out and OU beats UT in the rematch, I think they get in over Ohio State. They’re ranked #10 and despite beating down #4 today they’d have to leap frog a lot of teams to get in. They’re not THAT deserving imo. They were beaten by an unranked Purdue in a game that was never close, and barely scraped by Nebraska and Maryland. UM just crapped the bed today and blew their chance. I’ve said for a long time that Harbaugh can’t win the big games when they matter most.

Can only beat who is on your schedule.
I get what you're saying
But it would not surprise me if UCF actually had the better team
All speculation now. Nobody will ever know

I recall last year that same arguments were being made when they made the New Years Day bowl games....then beat 7th ranked Auburn

That’s fair. Not for nothing but I hope UCF gets another shot in one of the big games against another power conference team. Hopefully they can hold it together without Milton, that’s a huge loss.

Looking at ND’s schedule, if you told me their impressive wins would’ve been against teams like Syracuse and Northwestern with Stanford, USC, and Florida State on the schedule I would’ve laughed.

hopefully...my Sooners can handle business tonight vs wva.
gonna be tough with the way this D is playing.
like to see THE RED RIVER RIVALRY take over the Big XII Title Game.
Texas handled their business today...now we need to handle ours.

This is the first time that Texas and OU will play each other outside the Dallas Cotton Bowl since 1932.

gonna be a helluva game.
I think the world of Tom Herman...helluva coach.
hopefully Ou is locked in....I was upset when K1 refered to the first matchup as "just another game"....growing up here in Ou country, aint nothin about OU/texas thats "just another game".
This game will be a war...can't wait.

Rough day for you guys
What a spanking

I picked you all in my office pool, even though I have cousins who went to OSU.
Wish you would've won

I am officially done with that old-school football crap. The only way old-school football works are if the defence shows, I have a feeling we will get whooped big time Thursday against the Saints.

The D let Michigan down in big games last season as well.
