A good head coach gives the credit to his players and staff when they win and he takes the blame when they lose. You figure out the rest
I've heard him credit players but I've never heard him take the blame. It's almost like he's telling us it's all on the players, win or lose, and he's useless.

Probably so. But we can't count on other teams to lose to get us in the playoffs. This team should treat every game as a must win from here on out.

I have said it many times this year. This is our year. This is the year that we break the super bowl drought and get in.

There is really no dominant team that can keep us out of it. The main SB contenders (Rams, Saints, Bears) are all beatable. The Rams have a young QB as do the Bears.

New Orlean is probably the toughest team on the slate and quite frankly they can be beaten as well. With our defense it increases our chance of finally making some noise in the playoffs.
You really believe this was or is our year? How were you feeling at 3-5?

If this is the year we finally break thru to the Super Bowl then after almost 60 years following the Cowboys I’ve finally lost my feel on the pulse of this franchise and I’ll never trust my instincts again.

sorry but for what?
if we have no chance to contend, playoffs are irrelevant.
i will watch the games, but only from a player development point of view.
It’s always better to get in than not at all. 32 teams contend for those 12 slots. Regardless the outcome it’s still an achievement to make it. It’s not an all or nothing goal. I’ve never understood the Super Bowl or bust mentality.

To win the division.

The Egirls next week will go further in determining the division.

And if we sweep then we’ll only need a couple more wins regardless what they do.

Beat the Eagles and 9-7 will be enough.

A loss against the Saints and going 4-0 the rest of the way is doable but tough. That would be 10-6 and tops in the NFC east. The Colts are in the thick of it for a WC, have picked up their play and won't be an easy win. Don't look now but the Giants are playing better football too and the last game is in NY. 3-2 is probably more realistic than 4-1. I see three teams tied at 6-6 after this weekend. 3-2 is far less comfortable than 4-1

We will hold tiebreaker with them and Skins aren’t going 4-1 with Colt. We might need to beat Jints in finale.. How fitting ..

Yes. I made a "positive thread" when we were 3 and 5 and it pissed off so many people that it was unreal. Some just have no ability to "believe".

I would rather not be needing a win in week 17.

well for their confidence they need to not be blown out or embarrassed, keep the momentum even with a loss is ok but to be flat out OWNED by the saints could cost us going into the eagles game..this game win or lose needs to show this team offensively and defensively that they can at least compete with the best team in the league..The eagles got embarrassed by the saints , we can not afford that confidence breaker..

Right... a moral victory could help us.

I understand realistic expectations, but to hell with it. I want to win out and go into the playoffs hot! I want the impossible to happen!

Not to argue the point, but the way the NFL has gone, they need every win that they can get. There is no telling what will happen in weeks to come. For the division, you may be correct, but to galvanize the team for a playoff run it is needed. Winning the division by default does not bode well going into the next phase of the season. Your point is well taken, but I would rather the team win than lose for momentum's sake.

Gee Bees... I really hope no Cowboys players actually read this site , or this thread in particular...They might not even show up to the next game.

I don't think we'll win. In fact, I know we're going to get gobbled up.

BUT ... the remainder of the season is light, and other than Indy, we can nail every game. I think we beat Indy as well. 10-6 will do it.

That's true. A win against Philly is a must and the Jints are playing better ball than they were when we played them in game 2. The Colts have stepped up there game too and Luck is ballin. I hope we've turned a corner BUT I can see 2-3 as easily as 3-2. Hope the O-line continues to play well and block for Zeke, that's all
