I really need to play Fallout 4. I've heard nothing but great things about it. I flirted with it at a buddy's house several years ago but for some reason I have not sat down and became intimate with it.
Highly recommend it. So many different to do from the quests to all the settlement building stuff.

I recommend the full game with DLC's. Alot of great content

So I decided to rent Just Cause 4 from the ole' Redbox last night. I've played it for a few hours now and my first initial reactions are meh. Feels kind of like Just Cause 3.5. Same mechanics are in the game with the grapple and wing-suit, map seems gigantic, and it feels mostly the same with some different add-ons. Now for my major gripe.........the graphics. This game literally feels like I am playing it on my Xbox 360. There is no reason any game being released in 2018 (almost 2019) should look this bad. Disappointing to say the least, and though it doesn't affect game-play, it feels like it just takes away from the game as a whole. When you have gorgeous games like God of War, Forza Horizon, and RDR2 being released, well, it kind of raises your expectations.

I'll continue to play it but overall I'm just left not very impressed.

Good look on the review Slammed, was just about to purchase this. Just Cause 3 was like GTA on an island but didn't have much depth. With the poor graphics I'll just pass all together. Darksiders III didn't get good reviews either which is unf bc I really like that series too.

I saw that advertised, is it kinda like Diablo?

Not really.

Have you played Left 4 Dead? Take that game, replace the zombies with rat people, and then replace the guns with swords and flintlock weapons.

I just got a PS4 Pro but not any of the VR stuff. Are there any games out there worth putting up the money for that headset? Resident Evil 7 and Borderlands are the only games that kind of peaked my interest. Any suggestions/advice? Tks in advance!

Astrobots is an absolutely amazing VR game. It's like Mario in VR except you're a little robot. Loving every second of it so far. Batman is really good. RE7 was pretty solid, especially if you don't mind scary games. Outside that, games have been hit or miss for me. I just got Moss in the mail from Gamefly today and I hear that is pretty good.

Admittedly I don't play my VR as much as I thought I would upon initially purchasing it, however, it definitely is a neat novelty item to break out from time to time and enjoy. It's even been a good centerpiece for little gatherings when I have had people over. It hurts to see how much I forked over for the stupid thing compared to what you can get them for today. Haha I just HAD to have it right away.

VR still seems like casual parlor gimmicks to me right now. Most people still don't have it, so serious developers don't waste their time due to the small customer population.

Maybe the next batch of technology.

I really want to like VR but I have not seen anything from VR that interests me so far. It was like the VR push many years ago. The graphics, the apps (games), etc. are just too simplistic or poorly designed to draw my interest.

I hope that the next iteration of VR makes things more appealing but I have a feeling that augmented reality (AR) will likely end up being a better way to ultimately transition to VR by allowing a faster development process and more widespread interest. AR will also give technology a chance to improve and become affordable while also creating a consumer foundation of potential customers that will make serious VR application and game development a worthwhile investment for software and game developers.

Nailed it. Right now, it's just too expensive for most homes to have and therefore not practical for developers to focus on. So you're stuck playing gimmick games that almost feel like cellphone distraction games.

There's a reason Resident Evil 7 and Borderlands are the only games catching your interest @BigStar. But do you want shell out money for a VR headset to play a game that is a decade old in Borderlands? And I enjoyed Resident Evil for a grand total of $9 over a weekend courtesy of Redbox playing the traditional way.

I wish you guys had the chance to play Astrobots.

You have to remember too that we are still in the infancy of the technology. I've already seen improvements, albeit small, in terms of resolution. Indeed, there is still a ways to go, but, I'm willing to give it time.
