Blake Jarwin's legend can grow a lot more if he helps the Cowboys do something they haven't done a lot of since 1995 - win in the play-offs.

Cowboys related, kinda:

It wasn't like Jerry was going to replace JG now anyways.
Maybe if they totally collapse in the 1st round, but I doubt it.

The only one coaching for his life is Linehan and his love-child Moore. And maybe that Special Team's coach.

I take one thing back: I can honestly see Linehan go and Moore stays, depending on the new OC.
I believe Moore has Dak's full endorsement.

All analysis is subjective. Stats are used to support narratives and compare players and teams.

For example-- There are those that want to throw out Dak's W/L record (32-16) because this is a "team" game and the talent around him is the "real reason" for the W/L record. Fine-- but then does the FO not deserve more credit than it gets from this fan base for assembling that talent that is on the roster? Garrett and the staff for coaching and leading the team to three straight winning seasons and 2 division titles?

The problem a lot of fans are having boils down to who they ascribe credit to for positive success. I understand many fans' define success ONLY by playoff wins-- but the bottom line is that Dak, this FO, and this coaching staff is better than most fans realize
I think the FO deserves some credit and the coaches too. Not easy to help a rookie to a record breaking art to his career when he isn't even ready to make a 7 step drop without play action.

I give Dak some credit too. He has improved this year and with the help of Cooper I'm hoping he has finally thrown defenses out of clogging the middle of the field.

But right now at least Dak's inconsistent play is what is holding back the team. Let's just keep looking at 3rd and 8+ yard success percentage. That's they key stat to knowing whether Dak has really become a top QB. We have been no better than 19th in that stat since he became starter and it's the key to consistent offense.

The Jones family can't stop Kris Richard from taking a head coaching job with another team.

But they can give him a new title, more responsibilities and a large increase in pay.

As I posted earlier, Richard is in a great situation with the Dallas Cowboys and may not be tempted by the idea of leaving just to become a head coach. He will have to like the team he is going to, from players to ownership, to believe it's the correct career move to make.
