Geez Fleming!!!
Lol... true. We're just lucky Fleming wasn't able to get enough of a hand on the guy to hold him.
Cowboys related, kinda:
Happy New Year CowboysZone!!
Inciteful Tweet from the Sturminator on Dak:
I think the FO deserves some credit and the coaches too. Not easy to help a rookie to a record breaking art to his career when he isn't even ready to make a 7 step drop without play action. All analysis is subjective. Stats are used to support narratives and compare players and teams.
For example-- There are those that want to throw out Dak's W/L record (32-16) because this is a "team" game and the talent around him is the "real reason" for the W/L record. Fine-- but then does the FO not deserve more credit than it gets from this fan base for assembling that talent that is on the roster? Garrett and the staff for coaching and leading the team to three straight winning seasons and 2 division titles?
The problem a lot of fans are having boils down to who they ascribe credit to for positive success. I understand many fans' define success ONLY by playoff wins-- but the bottom line is that Dak, this FO, and this coaching staff is better than most fans realize
Well said.I think the FO deserves some credit and the coaches too. Not easy to help a rookie to a record breaking art to his career when he isn't even ready to make a 7 step drop without play action.
I give Dak some credit too. He has improved this year and with the help of Cooper I'm hoping he has finally thrown defenses out of clogging the middle of the field.
But right now at least Dak's inconsistent play is what is holding back the team. Let's just keep looking at 3rd and 8+ yard success percentage. That's they key stat to knowing whether Dak has really become a top QB. We have been no better than 19th in that stat since he became starter and it's the key to consistent offense.
