It’s a fine line sometimes choosing or sensing where we are. I want to believe we are on tract but it’s been so long and the process has been tiring with so many frustrations and disappointments but I think at some point you have to place some belief or support in the efforts made and the attempts to steer the ship in a better direction without the results your seeking.

I understand those who don’t . There’s always a divide in beliefs and some simply need the results which is fine but at some point I think some belief is healthy even if it doesn’t fully develop.

Unlike with players and those in the organization fans don’t need to buy in or believe. We reserve the right to conduct our fandom and patronize however we choose.

Ive been an apathetic disgruntled angry fan for a couple decades now but I want to believe as well. Some success isn’t going to forgive the poor decisions this dysfunctional organization has made under our selfish egotistical management . I’m not sure if we’re ready for the next level but I certainly don’t want to be on the wrong side of history sensing our time could be approaching.

I didn’t sense what we were on the verge of in 1992 headed to San Francisco but knew we were headed in a better direction. And I’m not trying to draw comparisons in these teams just the emotion and feelings attached that I didn’t need the results to want to believe in the process.

And while I certainly agree with some of the hesitation to acknowledge the process is more positive I think you have to bite a little into it with the dedication and passion we have following and supporting a team. The emotion is part of the journey which includes heartbreaks and disappointments.

I truly believe we are building something more special than we have in a long time. We’ll see if it’s fruition comes to bear but even if this is as good as it gets I’ll still applaud the efforts put forth and like to think I’ll enjoy it even more if they succeed.

This is a results oriented business while being an entertainment entity. I’d say I’m being entertained much more now even without the ultimate results we’d all prefer. Winning championships isn’t why I became a fan of my local team. It just made it more intense and fun.

As much as I’ve despised Jerry’s ways this era I have believed in Garrett’s influence despite the obvious justified criticism and Ill continue to support him as his efforts have provided me some hope when I had all but lost it with this organization. To each their own.
Go Cowboys!!

Since when is Garrett in charge of drafting and scouting. I know he has a voice, but he is not the one who built this team.
Jason Garrett built this team precisely the way he described he wanted to when he became Head Coach.

Jason Garrrett decides the type of player that he wants and the scouts look for guys with these specific traits. Jason Garrett is rarely overuled.

Jason Garrett, the son if an NFL scout with a 30 year career, knows how to assess talent. His brother Judd is Director of Advance Scouting for the Cowboys.

Jason Garrett could care less about fan perception or who gets credit for what. That why he is the perfect fit for Jerry Jones and the Cowboy franchise. Garrett has Jerry Jones's complete support.

The key to winning in the playoffs is to build a team from the trenches out. You must be able to control both lines of scrimmage. You must be able to run the ball and stop the run. You must be able to win time of possession. You must minimize the turnovers. You must play tough, physical football. Garrett has accomplished all of the above and we’re just getting started.

I think it is clear that Austin adds a special element to this team as well...and finally a special team turner.

This team is young and very hungry...lol.

For the other 31 teams, yes. In this case, no.
so you are a Garrett hater and willing to look really dumb with generic statements that hold not truth, nor can you prove otherwise outside of conspiracy theories or made up stories to fit your agenda and narrative... in essence you are a troll....

Let me guess. You believe Tyron Smith was JG' pick but Mo Claiborne was Jerry's pick. Right?
no mo Claiborne was a JG pick. he was often injured. when not injured he played at a high level. in the end, he was let go because he couldn't stay on the field.

Vision? What do Puppets dream of?
Puppets don’t dream. Puppets don’t have to put up with people who can’t see the obvious because of their agenda to constantly critisisze Garrett. Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

You said exactly what I was thinking as I saw this thread. Garrett had nothing to do with building.

There is the Cooper trade, and Jerry now listening to his chosen leaders.
So if Cooper had bombed would we blame Jerry or his chosen leaders? Lol. Everyone would be all over JJ.

Amen, McClay gets my appreciation..
Exactly. The simple fact is that we've hit on our draft picks the last few years, basically a year or two after McClay took over. That's the real reason for this team's recent success, not the head coach's "vision" or scouting ability.

Gimme a break! Garrett is spineless!!! He felt the pressure from not going for it on 4th down against Houston and now he goes on it every time. That's just one example. I won't argue anymore. Go on with your fantasy.
