Add in the fact that dak has Garrett/linehan

Compared to Pederson and McVay.
Two coaches who were creative enough to scheme their teams to the super bowl.

Imagine if he had a real coach and coordinator.

Since people like to bring up playoffs.

Let’s look at everything a QB can control in the playoffs. Yards, Tds, INTs, completion percentage.

Dak clearly outperforms both(especially considering wentz can’t finish a year)

Wentz- 0 completion for 0 yards and 0 TDs
Goff- 83 of 151(55%), for 971 yards(6.43 yards per attempt YIKES), 2 TDs and 2 INTs in four games with 8 sacks taken

Dak- 66 of 103(64%), for 794 yards(7.7 ypa WOW), 5 TDs and 2 INTs in three games with 4 sacks taken

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge Dak fan and don’t like Wentz, but isn’t it a little unfair to include a guy that tore his ACL and played with a fracture in his back during that time? The Dak to Goff comparison is fair, however.

I prefer to ignore the least significant (and telling) year of a QB and look how they are progressing.

The last two years tell a much more relevant story:

Notice that Dak is the worst of the 3 in pretty much every passing category. The only exceptions being % and yards (only because of 8 more games played than Wentz). He has the advantage as a rusher, but that is all. He's basically a Tyrod Taylor type with a much better team around him.
All or nothing. You can't take bits and pieces to fit your narrative. Jesus.

Pretty colors though. Good job on flood fill.

Ah. Cutting out stats to make him look worse. Got it. This was Mahomes first year as a starter (not his rookie year, but I consider it his rookie year because he officially started this year). Does that mean in the future, we should cut out Mahomes' first year because it's "insignificant" and "un-telling"? That's dumb. ALL YEARS IN THE NFL COUNT. Don't try and start B.S. again.

It's called trends, and understanding that rookie years are pretty meaningless. But hey, let's all try to pretend Dak is better than the other guys because he's got 1/3 years with better stats to their 2/3 (and growing). I'll look at where players are going, you can look at where they have been.

And that's not even mentioning the team situations for all 3 guys their first year.

Of course it is but you're on a Cowboys forum so Wentz playing at 80% or worse is going to be ignored.

Hes also the only one of the 3 that was a raw fourth round pick who was considered to be developmental. He was behind the curve from the beginning. Dak wasn't drafted as the qb his colleagues are, but hes put himself in the conversation. Its no longer about what they've done, its about what is to come now. He began to turn the corner after we got Coop, Im excited to see if he continues to improve. That was no Maserati he drove last year.
What a silly excuse.

Dak threw almost twice the amount of passes in college as Wentz and he did that in the SEC not at North Dakota State.

Dak didn't go in the 4th because he was a project. He went there based on what his talent dictated to scouts and GMs. His same limitations then still exist now.

Jared Goff
4 playoff games
2 playoff passing TDS

Dak
3 playoff games
5 passing tds

WentZ
lol playoffs

I didn’t have to add in daks 2 rushing Tds. Since people think they’re somehow worth less.

Its not an excuse. He wasn't ready period. He wasn't the player the other two were. The fact he's put himself in the conversation in three short years is remarkable. I dont care if you hate him, hes played beyond any reasonable expectations period.

Missed the most important stat in this league including playoffs:

Dak Prescott: 33 wins, 18 losses
Jared Goff: 26 wins, 16 losses
Carson Wentz: 23 wins, 17 losses

It does say Games Started on the chart. I agree its not a apples to apples comparison. It is however, an accurate look at what each of the three qbs has done. I dont think it rightfully predicts the future though.

Wentz is the most talented but way too fragile so Dak is the winner!
