So try using your brain and think about what that actually might mean about game winning drives.
Also try looking up what a game winning drive is, you and the majority of the Dak slobberers on this board don’t seem to understand what they are.

well educate the forum ... just exactly how do you define a game winning drive?

For three quarters, you can't go wrong with Rodgers. Late in a close game, Prescott has been a little better.

1st-3rd qtr, career
Rodgers 103.5
Prescott 94.6

Tied or trailing by 8 points or less
4th qtr/OT, career

Prescott 126 of 198 1692 yds 8.5 ypa 13 td 1 int 110.5
Rodgers 300 of 506 4018 yds 7.9 ypa 28 td 12 int 93.1

While slightly amusing, these posts are really ridiculous.

Dak was up to 48 games before he threw a TD in the last 2 minutes of any game he's been in and that was to Beasley in the end zone against the Giants the final game of last season. I'll even give you the OT throw to Cooper against the Eagles that was really close to a pick. That's 45 games. He also dived in from the 1 foot line against Washington.

But in reality, 3 full seasons without a TD throw in the last two minutes of any game. Why don't you compare that to Rodgers. Or better yet, anybody.

I suppose that’s if you decide to ignore the game winning overtime touchdown pass that Dak threw in like his 6th game in the league....

But yeah. The go ahead touchdowns in the 4th quarter that happen before the 2 minute mark are meaningless compared to the ones after the 2 minute mark.......

Wait....wait....aren't some fans still hoping we don't resign him? This logic could be dangerous.

I do remember in the 2017 season that Dak scored with a minute and a half left in the Packers game with what should have been a game winning drive. The problem was that there was still a minute and a half left and Rodgers had no problem moving down the field for a TD and the win.

After reading this thread Dak obviously deserves to be paid considerably more than Rodgers $33m per annum. I'm convinced now he's worth at least that plus market inflation. What do you think, 5 yrs at £40m p.a. with 30% guaranteed. On these figures looks fair , and we all know stats don't lie. Pay him the Jones boys!

Not sure I'd agree Belichick keeps games close. If anything he runs up the score more than anyone.
I may have been ambiguous but aside from the dross that they face in their division I feel that a lot of their games have been close in recent years.
Everyone knows how tight Bill plays it in Superbowls, basically knowing that is team will make fewer mistakes than the opposition.

at the current pace through his first three seasons, Dak Prescott is poised to pass Aaron Rodgers in career game winning drives at some point during next season(his fourth). Rodgers has been in the league since 2005.

But wait I thought Dak sucks. Does he not suck?

Um, just so we are clear game winning drives are only necessary when you haven't put up enough points to pull away from your opponent.

Is it really to Dak's credit that he may surpass Rodgers 14 year career in just 4 years?

Could that possibly have anything to do with Rodgers jumping on opponents early and not having to come from behind because he take scare of business early on.

I think we need a universal definition for "clutch".

To me, it means someone who doesn't get rattled and does all he can do for his part, to win a game. It means you can count on him to lead the team to victory, and you never feel like you're going to lose a game before it even starts.

It doesn't mean falling behind in the first half because he doesn't turn it on until the second half.
Just whatever fits your agenda. I know when it’s that last drive do or die it feels like 50/50 with Dak even lately he’s seemed to increase that chance quite a bit. When it was Romo it felt like it was 80/20 that he would win the game in that situation.

Comparing Dak to Rodgers is an insult to Rodgers. You take both QBs and give them a 3rd and 8.My guess is Dak is like 1-10 where Rodgers would convert maybe 5-10. I wonder what Daks 3rd down completion rate is when its 3rd and 8 and how it compares to other QBs including Rodgers.

2018:
Dak was 19/75, 25.3%, 21st in the NFL
Rodgers was 16/66, 24.2%, 25th in the NFL

Agree being clutch is being consistent all the time week in and week out. The only thing Dak is consistent at is being inconsistent.
