I guess some didnt hear ya lolCovington? Hello?
I think the Covington addition is an upgrade plus we still have the draft.

If I learned one thing after that disastrous loss to Rams in playoffs its this team completely fooled themselves into believing they had talented DL. Since then they have lost Gregory (2nd best pass rusher) and Irving.
I propose two options:
1. Trade Byron Jones for a young high quality starting DT or DE. Jones creates zero turnovers and is due new contract next year. I would pass on extending any DB who is adverse to creating turnovers. Then let Anthony Brown/ Jordan Lewis battle for starting CB opposite Chedo.
2. Sign Ndamukong Suh to a 1 year deal and push Dak next contract into next off-season.
All I am saying is when you don't vary approaches, smart coaching staffs will pick up tendencies and be able to coach their players on how to take advantage of said tendencies.2 teams out of 18 games ran the ball with any success on Dallas and now team will be putting up 200 yards? Come on, Dallas played poorly acting as if all the good things the defense did over the course of the season is now all down the drain because the Rams ran is a bit of a reach. Clearly Dallas needs more than Woods and Collins in a fairly thin rotation.
No it isn’t, and let’s be fair and admit it isn’t the D-Line alone that is responsible for stopping the run. Our two very good, but very young, LBs did a poor job in that game too. They will get even better and learn from the experience. And hopefully the coaches learned from it as well and have s their team better prepared.I don't think the Cowboys DL is as bad as the Rams game performance displayed. Rinse defense was their strength all season and they completely shut down the best run game in the league the prior week.
That said, improvement is always the right strategy.
Superbowl!!!!! *insert Jerrah's (a fifth deep on Johnny Walker) "we got this" voice*Covington? Hello?
Cowboys have been top 10 versus the rush the last 3 years without Suh, Donald, Watts, etc.
I think the Rams game was an exception and not the rule. The Rams OL told you how it happened: https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2019/...cowboys-tipping-plays-cj-anderson-todd-gurley
They got out coached which is easy when you are going against Jason Garrett and staff. Cowboys did not change their run stunt keys. Garrett did not change anything on the Cowboys run game which stymied Zeke.
Remember what the DL did to the no.1 rank rushing offense in the wild card game vs. the Seahawks?
Cowboys need a Head Coach that can constantly challenge and be a help to his staff. See Jimmy Johnson background as 4-3 and 3-4 Defensive Coordinator, Tom Landry creator of the 4-3 D, and even Wade Phillips/Bill Parcells 3-4 D. Garrett has no background to offer input...he is just a clapper.

So because Kris got out coached in one game we are supposed to forget that we were top 5 in the NFL against the run the rest of the season and previous playoff game? I disagree with both of these, we've needed a secondary for years, why get rid of B.J. and put yourself back in the same situation. And would Suh fit our scheme, I'm not sure about that plus if they were going to spend that kind of money they would have gotten someone a little better at another position. If I learned one thing after that disastrous loss to Rams in playoffs its this team completely fooled themselves into believing they had talented DL. The truth is it was our LBs specifically LVE that was getting yelled at by the play caller of the defense. And instead of changing the plays.....he decided to Sean Lee in the game. Kris did not recognize what was happening and made no adjustments. I respect the fact that he admitted that he was the problem....learn from it.You have to be better.
First, start with learning that Rod Marinelli coaches the defensive line that was responsible for getting gashed for 270 yards.
Everyone can see through your misplaced, misinformed attempt to pin things on Kris Richard.

Hope you feel better about yourselfYou should never give anyone advice about learning. Ever.

Honestly I think we just got outplayed. They wanted it more and they beat us up all day. I also kind of agree with you about the out coached angle.Irvin didnt play, so his loss is moot. Gregory is the huge loss. I agree we need a DT, but I dont think they are doing it. The big reason we got run off the field is because they knew when we were stunting. In other words, we got out coached.
Come on people it was the shoes
Do NOT be surprised to see them draft someone like Daylon Mack in the 4th-5th round. Classic 1T. He may be a better version of Woods - just needs Woods’ motor.
Th LBs were atrociously undisciplined, scouted very well by Wade and schooled by taking them out of most plays with motion and misdirection. No it isn’t, and let’s be fair and admit it isn’t the D-Line alone that is responsible for stopping the run. None of this is to say we couldn’t use an upgrade in the DL ...
KR coached the back 7. Not much he could do about the DL scheme in the Rams game.So because Kris got out coached in one game we are supposed to forget that we were top 5 in the NFL against the run the rest of the season and previous playoff game? Cowboys fans....we have to be better.
