The racial parts and the JG bashing is all just noise.

David Irving is just a guy who was born with physical gifts he didnt ask for and he just doesnt want to be a football player.
Which is ok. He would have walked away years ago if not for the obvious appeal of the money.

I hold no bad feelings towards him or any player who just doesnt want to be a football player. We can all sit behind our keyboards yelling and bad mouthing another man who doesnt do what we want him to do with his life. But most fans have never lined up across from a 6'5" 330lb monster running at you with the type of force we can't understand. This is a brutal game and its clearly not for everyone.

The most interesting part is how the NFL will give out highly addictive pain killers like they are tic tacs yet suspend players who smoke...
I agree with Irving on this part. Painkillers have ruined so many lives and destroyed so many families and pot hasnt. It just feels wrong.
agree on the painkillers..but again, aren't the players grown *** adults? Is anyone forcing the tic tacs down their throats? THEY HAVE CHOICES. Walk away like Irving did...more power to him. I applaud the fact he made his choice...and while I don't agree with it,I do admire he made a stand. The problem I have with him is how he ran his mouth and continues to, after he left the building...ie throwing fault and blame onto the HC etc. ITS A PUNK WAY to handle your business.

What coach would be comfortable with these guys?

Joseph Randle is sitting in a jail cell right now. Marty B had Pro Bowl physical talent but played for five different teams until teams quit bringing him back, even though he could still play. David Irving quit even showing up for a job that paid him three million dollars a year.

Those three examples are the textbook definition of "uncoachable".

Lol, what? They have had how many players suspended for PEDs from 11-13? They brought in Marshawn AFTER the gun incident in Buffalo. Frank Clark's spat on social media.

Carroll has long been lauded for allowing his players to have whatever personality they want. That's always been his thing.

Players want to play for him: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/10205676/pete-carroll-nfl-most-popular-coach
Instead of searching for RKGs, he adapts to personalities: http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawakami/2014/12/11/steve-kerr-pete-carroll/

This isn't a coincidence.

Marty and Randle were never even suspended when they were Cowboys. They never had legal issues. Irving likes weed, who cares? He's not a murderer. Like I said, JG doesn't like guys who don't fit his mold.

So, you've somehow missed that the Cowboys have also had a number of players that have been suspended and had a multitude of issues? Has any team had more, including Seattle?

In any case, Marshawn never served a suspension while playing for Pete Carroll - he was eligible to play the entire time he was in Seattle.

On the other hand, Joseph Randall has been arrested 7 times and has not been eligible to play the last 4 years, and Irving has only started 10 games over 4 years because of his problems and has indicated he will not play in the NFL as long as pot is a banned substance.

I would say he has owned up to his decision and seems to not really blame anyone except the NFL rules. He should have taken the high road with JG and not made those comments.
The players are grown men for sure and yes they could walk away from the sport as Irving has done.
My problem is the overall NFL policy of prescribing drugs yet suspending a player if they take something like Pot. I've never smoked it in my life so I am the last person that would be an advocate of this stuff. I don't know if the painkilling part of pot is real or not. Irving does have a good point about why we don't ever hear about NBA, MLB, NHL, players getting suspended for this stuff. Just like steroids, they all do it to different degrees.

like I said, some of what he says is true. I just don't like how he ran his mouth after he left the building. That's never a good thing.

I'm not saying Garrett is uncomfortable around people of color.......but what if he is?

We are just fans and base what we think of Garrett from sideline and happy go lucky clips.

We are not constantly in any of the players and coaches personal space outside of that.

I'm sorry but I'm not on either side without knowing the facts. I dont really know Garrett like that for me to come to the conclusion that he is uncomfortable around people of color or not.

But for all we know he could be.

Speaking as a man of color, I find it is possible but highly unlikely that a man that works in profession for close to 30 years that is totally dominated by people of color to be uncomfortable with them.

So please stop! Typical loser blaming others for their failures.

JG from all accounts is not like Irving portrays him, he's just butthurt because JG told him to get out and smoke all the weed he wants, good riddance I say.

I hate Irving for making me defend Garrett. lol.

Unfortunately THIS is the mentality these days from way too many people...unfortunately again there's way too much I WISH I could say but can't because of the rules here.

Victim-hood mentality is very prevalent.

On a side note...we're calling them people of color now? I can't keep up with this crap when did we stop calling them "black people"? If I say "colored people" though I am getting blasted...I really can't keep up with this crap.

I know where you want to go with this but your right you better not. And you probably know this but the term people of color is narrated towards blacks and mixed races that are of a darker skin. In other words anyone that’s not white. Lol

Nobody loves some Jason Garrett negativity more then me but anything that comes out of David Irving’s mouth and the logic he uses to come to his conclusion I’m out on.

Apparently the ganja is making Irving a little paranoid. . .

"People of color." Pfft.

If Garrett really was/is uncomfortable around black people, it's odd to choose a profession
where 70% of the players are black.

So I'll just call bs and Irving can tuck that card of his back in his pocket.

(I only read the first page, so far.)

Forget JG i tthink we found the real culprit right here.

My Dad always said this. JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING MAY BE TRUE OR FACTUAL, DOESN'T GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO RUN YOUR MOUTH. Moral of the story I guess is that a little humility and class goes a long way in life. Apparently Irving didn't get this life lesson growing up...or maybe he's just an idiot who just likes to scream from the highest hilltop to cover up his own flaws.
