Can anyone say this about Garrett

game planning happens during the week along with the QB for all 32 teams....to think the coaches go into a silo, come up with the game plan and then hand it to the players to execute is asinine……..geez people..

on the one hand people complain that we didn't build an offense that suits dak's strengths and likes and dislikes...on the other hand when we do, we complain its the player making the game plan...just say I hate garrett and be done with it...instead of trying to justify it...
Ok...I hate Garrett. And this team hasn't looked the same offensively since Romo stopped helping with the game plans.

A WR who was here a couple years back. According to Brice, Garrett and Linehan were sitting on their hands and Romo was running the show.
oh, that loser...a nobody at WR who got bounced around several teams because he couldn't learn enough to be a good WR...could it be that Garrett and coaches gave up on him because he sucked.....and he thought he was great....that guy never amounted to anything

What he said was that was his impression when he got to Dallas because before that when he was in Oakland he was with very young QB's who weren't as involved. Essentially he said he just wasn't previously aware of how it worked with a veteran QB.

but they have gone 13-3, 9-7 and 10-6 and 2-2 in the playoffs....since Romo with a Rookie QB nevertheless...

so is it about offense? or wins?
That 13-3 was on Romo. (IMO) It's about Garrett not getting it done over the years with great teams and good talent. Garrett being Dallas' Marvin Lewis.

Now that makes sense.

I call BS. There's no way Bill can coach a QB as well as a QB coach can, and I'm sure that applies to many, if not all the other positions. I'm sure he was exaggerating quite a bit.

Really? I am going to take Long at his word. Bill B is the best coach in football history. No one is close. Plus he has been around a long, long time. He has evolved with the league. I have no doubt that if he wanted to be a QB coach he would be great at it. Really, really great.

And yet, he has an overall losing record with quarterbacks not named Brady.

Romo sat on the bench for all but 2 series in the last regular season game of the year and he gets credit for the 13 wins?
It was his game plans. Who on the coaching staff would you give create to? Romo was a coach that year.

I just don't see it. Maybe one or two positions, like linebacker or O-line, but QB I doubt, and I'd bet a paycheck he's not better at every coaching position.

Who said it was his game plans? And even if that were true, then by this thinking only the person who prepares the game plan gets credit for wins and the players who carry out the game plans get no credit.

I'm talking about coaching not players. The thread is about coaching. Dont you find it a bit odd that we go from having the coach of the year, and everyone praising this offense, to offensive coaches being fired In just two years time? So im just adding two and two and coming up with the most logical conclusion. It was the influence Romo had on the offense throughout his years and not Garrett. Romo was basically a playing coach, while he was playing and a real coach in that 13-3 year. So I'd rather heap more praise on Romo instead of Garrett, during their 8 to 10 years together.

Brice is on someone's roster. Dez isn't. With that being said, is Brice better than Dez? ...NO. But why would he lie? Where does he benefit from that lie?

Because Brice left bitter, he felt he wasn't given a fair shot. What would Brice know about what was being said in the coaches room during game plan . I'm sure Romo had input just like all franchise qb do,
And yet, he has an overall losing record with quarterbacks not named Brady.

Romo was with the team in 2015 when the team won 4 games too. So was that on Romo or Linehan?
