Break your kid’s arm and get caught on tape threatening your girlfriend’s life? Nothing

But Zeke gets 6 games for demonstrably fabricated allegations.
Man, you'll get slammed into solitary even in county jails in a flash for making verbal 'threats',,,
Straight truth,,,o_O

I've looked into it. There is enough to IMO show that both parents are abusive. Given that I wouldn't be surprised if one of them tried to setup the other.

I would not be surprised if either or both are abusive to the kid and/or to each other. It's definitely mentally abusive to a kid to have the on-going drama.

Having said that, people should only be punished for crimes when there is sufficient against them. It's the basic foundation of the USA.

I've followed several stories about people that were wrongly convicted of crimes. It's common in the DNA testing era to find that people were wrongly convicted; however, the legal system is completely geared towards not admitting that people who were convicted could actually be innocent. Even DNA evidence that would easily prevent a conviction or probably prevent the person from going to trial in the 1st place is NOT good enough by itself after the person has already been convicted. It can take years after the DNA test results before the legal system finally releases innocent people from prison.

The top priority of the legal system should be to avoid convicting innocent people.

The NFL shouldn't require the same level of proof as the legal system; however as we know from the Zeke ordeal Goodell can do whatever he wants to do without any proof which is absurd.

Some women have used the threat of reporting players for domestic violence as leverage to get money or sometimes just to get their way about something.

The headlines and suspensions give those women more ammunition to threaten players. For each case we see there are likely many women that have been paid not to report players. Some of those were likely legit offenses by players but many were likely just extortion.

It is common even for average Joe's to get manipulated in divorce and child custody cases by false allegations.

Of course evidence matters, unless you're a Cowboys player! And, for all you fans that will criticize my statement and call me a homer, here's just another example of the NFL BS!

What's the difference between Zeke's girlfriend's accusations and Hill's wife/girlfriend's accusations?

Um..his girlfriend admitted to bruising the child?

Not sure what the point of having an arbitrary punishment system with no accountability or due process is, if you're not even going to use it when it would benefit the company.

We know it's not there for idealistic reasons, so it must be there for cynical ones, but if you won't use it when it would give you a big PR payoff then what is even the point of any of it?

Yeah I spent the better half of 2018 going through custody it's not pretty.

The league opened Pandora's box with the Ray Rice and Zeke cases. I'm not sure if they can close it.

He did not break the kid's arm. Nobody did. It was an accident, likely from a fall.

What was on the audio was NOT a threat.

So many here completely unfamiliar with what is going on in this case. And worse, people want the NFL to take poor acyions because they took poor actions with Zeke. We should want the NFL to do better, not continue to suck.

This is not a travesty. What happened to Zeke was. We want less of those, not more.

I hope the situation between hill and the girlfriend is closely monitored in the future. for the sake of the child involved. clearly there was some manipulation going on during the recording. hope the kid comes out ok in all this mess.

I want the NFL to take action because there is plenty of evidence that the kid is getting abused by both parents. One of whom is in the league. I could care less about how it relates to anything else.
