I've looked into it. There is enough to IMO show that both parents are abusive. Given that I wouldn't be surprised if one of them tried to setup the other.
I would not be surprised if either or both are abusive to the kid and/or to each other. It's definitely mentally abusive to a kid to have the on-going drama.
Having said that, people should only be punished for crimes when there is sufficient against them. It's the basic foundation of the USA.
I've followed several stories about people that were wrongly convicted of crimes. It's common in the DNA testing era to find that people were wrongly convicted; however, the legal system is completely geared towards not admitting that people who were convicted could actually be innocent. Even DNA evidence that would easily prevent a conviction or probably prevent the person from going to trial in the 1st place is NOT good enough by itself after the person has already been convicted. It can take years after the DNA test results before the legal system finally releases innocent people from prison.
The top priority of the legal system should be to avoid convicting innocent people.
The NFL shouldn't require the same level of proof as the legal system; however as we know from the Zeke ordeal Goodell can do whatever he wants to do without any proof which is absurd.
Some women have used the threat of reporting players for domestic violence as leverage to get money or sometimes just to get their way about something.
The headlines and suspensions give those women more ammunition to threaten players. For each case we see there are likely many women that have been paid not to report players. Some of those were likely legit offenses by players but many were likely just extortion.
It is common even for average Joe's to get manipulated in divorce and child custody cases by false allegations.
