Morning Pops and friends. Thank you for the pep talk, Runny. If not for the fresh sting of Sunday, I would have gone forth and slapped the snot out of someone through my self perceived sense of entitlement.

I have given my best to the family business and saved it a great deal of money more than once. I could keep lawyers and conniving customer at bay through my gift of writing. No cheers, no pay raise or even a thank you. Same old, same old, same old. I celebrate every touch down and win with the Cowboys as a sense of accomplishment. It's wrong, but it's a guilty pleasure and way of coping with gender bias in the work place.. My writing skills don't show up here because I'm not coming in with a plan to defend a legal case.

I wish I could be more like Leon and some day I might. Coach, I get where you're coming from as well. I won't get into the specifics of Jerry's World, but I do get it. Instead I will encourage you to keep your antics up. Everyone here is capable of golden posts (except Maher) and you've put down your fair share. Sometimes your posts will be the only laugh some people have on any given day. Would you deny us your finest buffoonery? Certainly not! Umm, this is starting to look suspiciously like writings for the Bible that were intentionally left out. I haven't even gotten into the new wine yet. I'd better shut up.

Happy Hump Day everyone.
One of the hardest things I had to learn in my life was telling my family no.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. I have a Dr. appt. today to have a spot on my skin removed and biopsied. It's a nice cool 79 here right now but is headed to 91. I haven't been motivated to do much since I left the Condo. I think I'm having withdraws from my addiction to our balconies overlooking the ocean. Y'all have a good day.

Good morning Pops and friends. Another humid morning upper 70s temp. I logged 5 miles this morning for a total of 38 for the month. That’s a one day workout for serious runners lol. I’ll stay on the novice lane.

Supposed to cool down tomorrow. Promises promises.

Safe travels Jan. Enjoy your vacation.

Impressive but I got you beat, I've got 40 miles in at the grocery and liquor stores. I throw in Costco, I am a marathoner.

Good morning Pops and travelers welcome home and bon voyage. Jan's giving her boss a taste of life without his right hand. I made the mistake of letting my right hand have vacation time and I was miserable. I told her next time, I am going along but I won't be a problem and will sleep in the other double bed...…….unless it thunders.

The Red River Rivalry renews the ritual this Saturday and I must procure fair food for the football feast. Most will not notice or appreciate the fact I worked in double alliteration into that previous sentence, there are actually cultures that would give me an award for such a feat and at least one that would deify me. I also believe I am the first poster to ever use the word "deify" on this site, I am just all too sexy for myself.

I haven't been to the Texas Sate Fair in 10 years and I do miss it. We usually waited until the last weekend to go because the first time we ever went it was Texas-OU weekend and it was crazy crowded but I won my son a 6' tall stuffed Donald Duck that my wife named "Carny". I tried to tell her it already had a name, Donald. Disney was also into that alliteration thing. She told me his name was Donald until he became part of our family and now he would heretofore be known as "Carny". I don't think he liked the name change either but knw better than to argue with her.

Might catch-up today. The Mrs wants to go to Costco.
I can't honestly say my Mrs. ever wanted to go to Costco with me. I am not kidding when I tell y'all she actually took things out of the basket that I had placed there. One time she stopped in the middle of the store and said "I am in charge of the household budget and I didn't ask for this job but someone has to do it and you look at a shopping list as the starting point. Our sons were easier to shop with". I stopped doing it when I was with her and waited until I was alone at Costco to seek my revenge for being scolded in the store. And of course, she was right all along.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. TGIF! The coffee tastes great this morning as I sit here in the in my morning solitude. I think someone asked Coach if he was illiterate and he thought they said alliterate and set out to prove he was. :D Have a great day, everyone.

Good good goooooood Friday morning Pops and weekenders. Finally have some, what appear to be at this time, good college games on tap with OU-Texas, LSU-FLA and Penn St. at Iowa and it's a night game and if you haven't seen it, it is the greatest thing in college football. The Children's Hospital is next door and all of the fans shine their smartphones together up to the kids and staff of the hospital to show them they are in their hearts as they all wave back to the fans. I tear up every time I see it, love those folks.

And we've got the Candy Game in Boise. If you haven't seen that blue field with their uniforms, you've missed a real "oh, my eyes!!" moment but tomorrow we have the added eye candy of the Hawaii's uniforms. If you watch too much of that game, you have to watch old black and while movies to come down.

It is in the 50's here and not getting out of that all day with 15-25 northerly winds, it was 95 yesterday. I do plan on going out to hear people ***** about it being cold. I have a date later with several fingers of single malt and a fine hand rolled on the thighs of virgins cigar. And I am so glad they found a purpose for virgins other than sacrifices. Did I mention those were Andre the Giant fingers?

Morning Pops and everyone from chilly Virginia Beach.

Weather here is the same as I left in Iowa so no adjustment needed for that. Been a rough start to my time off tho. Got sick on the way to the airport on Thursday morning. Flights were bumpy and been having dizzy spells since I got here. Sure hope it all straightens out soon.

All who love a good, hot caffeinated beverage... have a few for me, please, and thank you.

Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Thank you. Was able to get outdoors for some sunshine today and ate regular meals so I think I'm on the upswing. I have a little over a week left and would really like to enjoy what's to come.

Maybe tomorrow I can get out and do a little contributing to the local economy...

Good morning Pops and fun day Sunday people.

Well, my Tigers won so that made up for UT failing to take care of OU, I am not an UT fan, just more of an non fan of OU. I also liked it that UGA lost because Smart played not to lose at the end of regulation, no guts, no glory and he put his own team out of the CFP. That Bama-LSU game is shaping up to be one of the top 5 of this season. OSU-WIS and OSU-Penn St look pretty good as well.

The early games, PHL-MIN and HOU-KC look to be the games today and I could care less watching the Cowboys beat up on another winless team but am stuck with that stinker as well as the PIT-LAC snoozer, the Cowboys game is next weekend.
