Did they get any better at supply and logistics on the moon? And how did they do in the cold weather?

I have no idea, but on the show the Moon has gravity exactly like that of the Earth, even though the moon really only has 1/6th our gravity. Also, how did they feed all those moon ***** all those years. I don't believe you can plant anything on the moon and grow it with moon soil. You would have to bring Earth soil up there and have one heckova greenhouse.

Thanx you. Nasa won't release their data on the belts because they know no human can survive going thru it much less come back to earth thru it again. You would need to be covered in lead to be protected by it.

Humans can survive going through the Van Allen Belts and coming through them one more time as long as the exposure time is short, as was the case with the Apollo astronauts. There would only be a problem if a human camped out in those Belts, for example, if we set up a space station in them and the astronauts hung out there for a year or so. It's similar to if your doctor gives you an X-ray. You only get a brief exposure to that radiation, so it's not a problem. However, if the X-ray machine scanned you continuously for a couple weeks, it could be a problem. Look at it this way. If you're somewhat fair skinned, you could still take a trip to Hawaii and hit the beach for maybe an hour and be okay, but if you went there every day all day for a week, you would be so fried from the sun's radiation, you could even put your life in danger. It's fortunate that the trips to the moon were brief and thus the astronauts didn't have to be in the radiation for extended periods of time. Trips to Mars could be way more hazardous depending on how many radiation bursts they would have to go through, but that's another story, since it's a long space journey, not the short trips that we took to the moon.

Out of curiosity I started watching some show named Iron Sky on Netflix where the ***** had escaped to the moon at the end of World War II and had been hiding there all this time building their space ships, then all of a sudden they decided to attack. Man, it was dumb. Couldn't get through the first episode. I just thought I would give it a chance, just in case maybe it was campy and fun. No such luck. So, if you're tempted to watch the moon ***** show, don't bother.

I think I read an old sci-fi book with the same premise once. It was bad

I've been trying to watch Treadstone, but about to give up. Too convoluted, as they keep switching back in time. And basically, I can't figure out what they're trying to do w/ the show. Way too much torture and crapp and nowhere near enough cool action.

Currently, HBO's Watchmen and His Dark Materials. Also, Funimation's Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia.

Each of the previous two shows has strong female leads in Regina King and Jean Smart (Watchmen) and Dafne Keen and Ruth Wilson (His Dark Materials). This is only the second opportunity I have watched (now) fourteen year old Keen after Logan. She continues to impress me with her strong screen presence at such a young age. Fate/Grand Order would be much better personally if they released English dubbed episodes at the same time as the Japanese releases.

I didn't realize Watchmen was a series. I'll have to check that out. I remember the movie, which I didn't care for, and I thought that's what was showing.

The series has a similar premise as the film but the story is very different. So far, Dr. Manhatten, Silk Spectre 2, Roshack (I am sure I butchered that lol) and Veidt are the only movie characters that have been featured in the series. Dr. Manhatten has had practically zero screen time. Roshack 'inspired' followers after his death. Silk and Veidt (Ozymandias) are much older, with the former (played by Smart) being a senior FBI agent and the latter being a recluse but in a dfferent way from the movie. I do want to give away much before anyone interested chooses to watch the series.

I'll be honest, I really don't remember anything about the movie, other than the fact that I didn't like it. Could this Roshack character be "Rorschach", as in the Rorschach test (ink blots) in psychology?

Yep. I liked the movie and understand why others do not. The series stands on its own two feet in my opinion. For example, Regina King, who is the lead actor in the series), plays a character with zero ties to the movie.

Watchmen is not the type of series (especially by HBO) that I personally recommend. It deals with several different cultural matters that are usually controversial. I only mentioned it according to what the OP means for me right now. My next offerings will likely be Hulu Marvel's Runaways and Netflix Lost In Space when their new seasons premiere later this month.

Yep, either December 23 or 24 I think. I have been checking on it occasionally and saw it officially added to the series placeholder about a week or so ago.

On episode 7 of Watchmen right now. Strange show, but good...and the list of actors is incredible! Louis Gossett Jr., Jean Smart, Regina King, Jeremy Irons...Great cast.
