Emmitt didn't tap. Like Scooter Magrudder says...he's a grown man.

I'm passing this around a lot this week I know. BUT for those players who tap out after a play or two:

This team can be more mentally tough if there was more accountability. I'm looking forward to see what a new HC can do with this team. Having said that....I have no faith Jerry is going to relinquish the power neccessary to attract that type of coach. Imo it's not a very attractive job for that type of coach. Bring on the next puppet. :(

It matters to me because I’m a fan who supports the team and he’s not living up to the contract he signed. If he had the year he’s having last season he wouldn’t have gotten paid. He would’ve been forced to play under the franchise tag or sit out the season.
So players arent allowed to have down yrs? He had 25 sacks the previous two yrs tops n the nfl. You dont think teams were going to start adjusting to him and game planning for him?

Notice how you didnt respond to anything else besides the money. This further tells me i hit the nail on the mark. You have no clue what his responsibilities are, you have no clue how the scheme plays him. You have no clue what else he does for this team. For you its nothing but the money he's being paid. Everybody in this league is over paid. A SDE is paid and only paid when he shows he has all the tools of the DE not just the ability to get sacks. They have to be strong enought o handle the doubles, the ability to play the run, and still have the ability to rush the passer. Which is does. If he was a RDE i would agree with you and saying he needs to have more than sacks. Theres a reason teams run away from him. They roll their plays away from him. But you dont bother to mention any of this because you have no clue about it.

Zeke is fat and he has a Ginormous man purse, plus he beats on women.. meh

Well according to witness testimony from a FRIEND of the woman Zeke was falsely accused of beating, the gold digging ***** Zeke was dating actually got those bruises from an *** whipping she took by another woman at a club/lounge.

So stop spreading lies.

I was one of the biggest supporters of Zeke during the holdout but c'mon. He does take himself out of games and it bothers me. You want to be paid like the best then you should act like the best. Emmitt was the best.

People are acting like this is the only time hes pulled himself. He does it all the time. Some of the fault lies in coaching and not resting him in more obvious situations and some of the time you'd really like to have Zeke in but hes pulled himself. If we used Pollard earlier in games, especially when Zeke is struggling maybe he wouldn't pull himself when we really need him. I dunno

Where there’s smoke there’s fire. Are you going to justify and/or ignore the 2 nightclub incidents and the security guard? Get real dude. The loser is an entitled punk and I would love for him to mess with the wrong person which he may be stupid enough to do but he typically picks on women and people half his size.

If I were religious I would pray for the day he tries to bully me and it’s not too far fetched.

Players pull themselves from games in the regular as a whole across the league. You guys just pay attention to Zeke to make yourselves feel better.

Uh oh, here comes the guys masking their hate if Zeke’s character in light of football play, from their pulpit of self-righteousness as if the rest of the NFL is a bunch of choirboys and Instagram chicks are not always trying to get in the pants of NFL players and plenty of players have multiple kids out of wedlock.

At least stop pretending that it’s football related..

I love these guys talking about the old day guys, who were built of a different breed, as if a large majority of them were not involved in the LAWSUIT against the NFL regarding the concussion issues and saying that the NFL basically didn’t take enough measure to prevent them from happening and now all of them are feeling the effects of it..

This is what championship players and teams are all about. Week 17 of the 93 season with the NFC East title on the line. Heart and desire personified Emmitt Smith and our 90s team. Certainly didn’t see any of that this past Sunday.

As soon as I saw the title of this thread I knew that video was coming before I even opened up LOL I'll never forget that game even if I get dementia LOL I think I pulled my liver during that game lol

I guess it’s cool to be Jim Brown, whose had multiple allegations of domestic abuse against him, because he’s one of the ‘old guys’.

Zeke doesn't want to be Emmitt. He wants to make sure he has a long, injury free career with nice stats and can enjoy his money later in life.

Those days are over boys.

Take a look around at the NFL right now and point to all those players you would consider old school "Excellent". Where are they? The NFL used to be filled with them. Willing to sacrifice their bodies for the good of the team and their legacy.

Now, they are here and there. Splattered around. Going the way of the Dodo bird. And who knows? Maybe they are right. Why? It's a business after all. Isn't it?

Maybe it's the Boomer in me that misses the good ole days. Most probably don't.

Zeke is full. He don’t want to be fed anymore.
He’s a joke, even his supporters are starting to have a hard time defending him. He does his stupid “feed me” gesture one play and is tapping out the next. 90 million worthless diva, he can buy a lot of Louis Vuitton purses with that money.

Earl Campbell is lying on his bed in pain, wishing he never played like that and his fans aren’t there carrying him to the bathroom as he walks in pain.

The other guys were trying to sue the league a few years back, blaming the NFL for all their concussion issues and the various issues they succumbed to as part of that career.

The only idiots are the players that think fans will be there for them, if they have career ending injury or they actually do care, because the fans will clap one day for about 15 seconds at some award function later on down the road when they retire.
