I'm not scoffing and actually wouldn't mind if they went ahead and made the hire. If your not going to hire Urban Meyer or any other College Coach than why wait ? unless you want to interview McDaniels or Roman because per Mort.....Zimmer not interested.

I would rather have Kubiak than Mike McCarthy, the Mike Shanahan based zone read scheme has been extremely successful for decades.

Zeke would be unstoppable in that system.

Willing to bet it’s only for scouting (drafting, free agency etc....). I don’t believe it is being used the way Sharp has said McCarthy wants it be used. Judging by the plays and decisions I have seen in the field I strongly doubt analytics has anything to do with them.

Hard for me to get excited about a coach that only won one SB with Aaron Rodgers as his QB.

I'm not thrilled about either, tbh. Kubiak struggled greatly of his QB was off, and the defense didn't pick up the slack. Almost exactly what happened to Dallas this year. A lot.

Same could be said with Mikey too. Maybe, with their powers combined, they become Captain Planet?

I wouldn't be thrilled. At this stage though, the new shiny toy will hold me hover for a little while. I'm just ready to see someone other than JG on the sidelines.

Right, from what is being reported it sounds like that’s not going to happen. The team is looking to retain Moore and force him on the next coach. McCarthy may just be the best coach out there desperate enough for a job to agree to do that.

Garrett never had a QB like Aaron Rodgers tbh. Not trying to defend Garrett here but yea it is a thing.

I'd say I'm good with McCarthy as HC. Not my first choice, but he obviously knows what it takes to coach a winning team.

But I also agree--who the DC is just as important to me. When was the last time we had a defense that was feared? For that reason I'd prefer a defensive-minded HC
