Waiting Mahomes and now Russell Wilson just really opened my eyes. These guys are on another world compared to Dak. Kind of depressing
Lamar is gonna win the MVP...but he's home watching...Great running game and defense beat him and his vaunted offense. AROD is one of the greatest...1 SB...Many ways to get a championship...isn't always with a Great QB..Dak with the right coaching and continued development can lead this team to a SB or more...Lets get a real defense and utilize our running game

So you are comparing Dak to the 2 best QBs in the game today. If Dak isn’t as good as Mahomes he sucks.

What is depressing is that people think this way.
I don't think that the OP means he "sux" but rather simply pointing out that the truly elite QB's overcome so much and give their teams a huge advantage. You can play perfect defense and they still drop a dime or scramble & defeat it. They do this routinely, not occassionally. They deserve to be recognized as special talents.

I like Wilson but frankly he got off to a poor start and had some pretty bad passes early in the game. They feel behind GB a defense that is not that great and came up short. When this has happened with Dak he is called poor and with Wilson it is alright? OK?

Until a guy at least is a big part of a team that goes deep in the playoffs, I have no loyalty for him. That gets me into disagreements with a section of the fanbase. There isn't a single player currently on the Cowboys that I would get upset about leaving and I think that rubs some people the wrong way, so I apologize.

Overall, Wilson has a super bowl ring, a suber bowl loss, is 9-6 in the playoffs and has come in the top 5 for passer rating 4 times in his career. If you don't think he is better than Dak right now, I don't know what to say.

Dak Prescott is not as good as Pat Mahomes or future Hall of Famer Russell Wilson, news at 11.

Dude, really? Criticizing Dak like he's trash because he's not as good as two of the best QBs of this era? Come on.

Every day the last two years, I come just a _LITTLE_ bit closer from leaving because of all these horrible takes.

Ive been here for years, I remember when a lot of the posters here guys from the DMN board, but this place is really different and fairly awful compared to those days.

Hopefully this new offensive style can help but I've run out of optimism,,, it's all hope now.

The regime change should refuel your optimism. And really....how much real difference between optimism and hope? Don't be afraid.....man up...get your pom poms and rose glasses out proudly! It will be more fun than such wary and guarded....hope. The joy of the payoff will be worth more than the letdown...which we have PLENTY of experience dealing with.

I've been a member here for a long time....but only fully participated since the demise of 24/7. This place easily beats DMN and 24/7 hands down for incredibly "horrible takes". Quite an accomplishment!

How many of those players are there in the NFL? Those guys are not remotely the norm, so far and away most teams have to work with something at least slightly less. That doesn't mean the team can't win, it just means they need a little more support around the QB.

Fans seem to feel there are Mahomes/Brady/Rodgers/Wilson/Brees type players just waiting to be had, but think about it. That's 5 QB's drafted over a 20 year span. Obviously they don't grow on trees.

He is abetter QB than Jimmy G or Ryan Tannehill.
there are many aspects in overall performance of a QB. So, in some ways I would not argue with you. However, the key area that Dak is limited is very important. He is not a natural passer. He just doesn't see the field, the angles, what the trajectory of the ball needs to be, etc.. Top that off with the lack of arm talent to make those off balance throws that still need to be crisp and accurate.

Jimmy G & Tannehill are superior as natural passers. Tannehill has actually been quite spectacular in TN. I know he hasn't lit up the playoffs but if you didn't watch him in the regular season go back & take a look. He was throwing some amazing passes.

Well Dak has sure put that dumb *** theory to rest. Hasn’t he?
I wasn't dumb at the time and that's when it was used. It wasn't really a pro theory but I know you emotional inferior types can't stand not always being right so you can be right sir.

Here's one of these bad takes I was talking about.

Yes, the guy who averaged over 300 yards passing per game and had 4900 yards passing and 30 passing TDs and finished 3rd in the NFL in YPG and threw the ball nearly 600 times this season is NOT A NATURAL PASSER.

Holy crap my head hurts

Mahomes yes but the difference between Dak and RW is not that big..BTW we beat them in the first round last year ie RW led team and they again didnt make it out of the 2nd round..

Dak with some help can be a RW..I luv RW game and I can see his forst 4 years and Dak is on that path..he wasn't perfcet either coming up and slowly turned into what he is today..

its not fair to compare him to Mahomes, mahomes is elite ..Mahomes will be the first 40mil QB Dak will not...the issue isnt dak Mahimes is simly on another planet really in the league..

speaking of which I dont think Jackon should get MVP watching mahomes seeing his numbers even after he missed 3 games, hes still should be MVP.. Jackson had a great year but Mahomes is still playing and what he did in the playoff game would go further in votes..

If other positions on the team fail and make mistakes it’s a team loss. Not a Dak loss.
I've never saw you in a Dak slurping thread kicking this bs so hell outta here using this logic now. Matter of fact I've never none of you Dak groupies use this logic in all the threads cheering about Dak Dak he's the man if he can't do it nobody can. When you go in them threads with this same logic your point will be valid until then stop it.

How many times did Dak turn down easy first downs this year by not running it...
im betting it was more his contract looming , one not wanting to get hurt and two-trying to prove he can throw the football..im not making excuses but that has to be in a players mind even if its subconsciously creeping in..

ok, how many times did Dak make a throw like Rodgers backpeddaling and drop the ball right over Adams shoulder 30 yds or so away for crucial first down with two defenders on him?

When Dak isn't under pressure & his mechanics are textbook, sure he can complete some passes. Same as a lot of guys from middle school on up. Natural passers can process all the variables & compensate while under pressure & off balance and still make the right throw accurately.

Yup I’m 38 so I started watching football in the late 80s.

Who do you have as better talent than Mahomes?

Steve Young was the most talented QB go ever come into the NFL.

His 1994 season is the best ever when adjusting for era.

Last night Russel Wilson was not good in the first half which is why they lost. Aaron Rodgers almost threw a couple picks and was hitting WIDE OPEN receivers all night. I actually felt better about Dak after this weekend because it is clear that no QB is perfect and he really isn't that much worse than a Russel Wilson or current day Aaron Rodgers.

The QB that I think is on top of everyone is Patrick Mahomes but he is just a once in a generation player so you can't really complain if you don't have him because only 1/32 teams can.

Dak can hang in there with all these guys, as long as his receivers aren't dropping every second ball. Also, it should be noted that almost all the other highly rated QBs have an elite or very good TE. Dak has never had that.

Look numb nuts. Anyone who knows football uses this logic become its true and unbiased. Very much the opposite of the bs you spew about.
