Yeah, I know, you’re right. I’m still not convinced that Gregory has any injury to really care about though… but he could, so we can’t rule it out until we see him playing/practicing or until the team comes out and addresses it.

Losing Gregory from the pass rush equation would hurt. In that case, Parsons would probably play more LEO and less SAM than planned.

I agree we dont know yet. And Gregory looks like a beast out there. We have just had such bad luck with injuries I'm paranoid.

It all depends on if we can stop the run and put pressure on the quarterback. With the additions from the draft and free agency and Dan Quinn as our DC, I believe we can. We are gonna score a ton of points because of how good our offense will be and we will be able to win games going away if our defense can do those two things. Let's Go Cowboys!!

These are glorified scrimmages. Let’s get a few real games in before we start making predictions one way or the other.

I don't care what he's been accused of, couldn't we say that about a lot of members here? Hell, I've been accused of being drunk AND on some other drug.
Do anything goes I guess.
Now America has striped them of their Name and all memory . . . But I heard they are gonna change their names to the Moors. . . or Tribe of Judah

I cant keep up with all the Wokeness.

Its a shame The City of London kept influencing The Indians to committed Raids on American Soil . . . it was torture the way an Indian would kill you . . .

(Little known fact: It was the Jesuits who taught the Indians to Scalp . . . Jesuits made it their mission to destroy America from the beginning . . . by any means necessary . . . yeah I am talking to you . . . Donald, Joe & Nancy. . . 3 peas in the same Jesuit Pod)

I don’t think anyone is making judgements on the preseason games but on the fact that we know we have a top 5 offense and with the moves made in the offseason with players and coaches we should be better there as well.

After watching last nights loss to the Cardinals...I came away convinced we are the team to beat in the NFC.

Why?

Defensive pressure....

If teams are gonna live in the spread/shotgun offense...and we rush 5 or 6 guys like we did all night long last night....

We are gonna be a hand full to deal with.

And to think we didn't even have our starters going....

Seriously....I'm buying in now.

If you look @ this team...the majority of our guys are hitting their prime....right now.

Breaking down position by position...we have as much talent as anyone in the league.

The only thing I see keeping us from getting to the top is bad coaching and/or injury.

Injuries happen...

But right now...on the coaching front....Kellen has the weapons....and I think we have enough depth on the O-line to keep things from happening like they did last season....

Defensively....Adding Dan Quinn's aggressiveness is gonna be huge.

It looks like getting after the QB isn't just going to be lip service this year. We got some dudes this year...

And we haven't even seen D-Law and Gregory yet....

It just feels like we are so much deeper on defense than years past....and we are finally phasing out the guys that teams used to target....

Anthony Brown
Jaylon
Lee
Crawford
Thompson

Still a little worried about special teams....if we can find someone to return kicks...and if Zuerlein will be healthy....but for now....I'm buying into what direction we are headed as a team.

It's been a long time since I could say with confidence...I feel like we can compete with anybody...and mean it.

I just feel like our time is now...and for whatever comes our way Jerry needs to push all in to make it happen now. If injuries hit...so be it....push through it. Make the moves necessary to go all the way. We have the talent now...now all we need is the commitment to see it through...

Float, you get hacked by Rockport bro?

We know nothing.

We don't have a top 5 offense OR the worst defense in franchise history. We have the same as everyone else until the real games start and everything is proven on the field and the teams start to separate themselves from each other.

This is why the fans of other teams think Cowboys fans are the most ridiculous fans in the NFL. Who in their right mind proclaims a super bowl after 2 pre season games?
And BOTH losses

I predict Floaty will start trashing the team again in the first quarter of the first game thread.

I’m curious to see how dispassionate we are on roster cut downs. We could easily upgrade from Noah Brown, for example. He supposedly blocks but doesn’t bring much other than as a possession receiver.

Replacing him upgrades the position, gives cap relief, brings in a player with upside, and you know younger players are hungry. Add in that replacing him leaves you with a more versatile player and it’s almost a no brainer.

In years past we would cut a younger, less experienced, less proven player who was really doing well in camp but the coach didn’t “trust them”. That’s coach speak for l know the young gun outplayed him but I’m keeping my guy. Think Sean Lee, Jason Witten, Ty Crawford, etc.

I’m not opposed to keeping him or letting him go but I do know he’s suppose to be excellent on special teams.

And even if the defense is improved we have a quarterback coming off an injury that’s still having issues.

We’ve had a quarter century of offense and defense never peaking in the same season. With a completely healthy quarterback we should be able to win this weak, weak division.....but history says we would be one and done in the playoffs

I

If I truly believe we are a one and done team I would not be wasting my time here. The richest man can't buy time so why waste it on something you don't believe in? Ever since Tim Duncan/Manu/Parker retired, I don't waste my time at BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1 at all. I'm sure a few here took a screen-shot of my predictions of 13-4 record with a 37-23 win over the Chiefs in the SB to rub it in my face when it's all said and done, and I'm good with that. I wouldn't expect any less from them.

I love your avatar. I miss Pops. This is what I would do to the trolls here if I were a moderator, and not saying you're one of them.

The trolls don't give a rat's ace what the homers predict will happen. If you or anyone thinks the Cowboys will be great this season and it comes true, then all Cowboys fans will celebrate. Tha end. Who cares if you or the other resident homers are wrong every season? You, me, and every other person not employed by the Cowboys have zero impact on the teams’ success.

I also enjoy when so many on here claim they don't want trolls/haters/quitters/etc to post when it's obvious that 98% of their posts are trading jabs with the other point of view.
