I wouldn't take Dez back for the league minimum. I appreciate his time as a Cowboy but it was time to move on. And this wide receiver group is going to surprise a lot of people.

Dez can still be successful somewhere else, just not here. Dak Prescott's strength as a quarterback is going through his progressions and hitting whoever is open. With Bryant here, he often felt the need to force the ball to his "go-to" guy; and that's not his game.

This Cowboys-Bryant split was not about any faults with Dez, Dak, or team chemistry. It had to do with scheme and players fitting into it. Bryant no longer fits what the Cowboys want to do. There's really no reason to make it anything more than that, though media people do.

Deion is oblivious. Remember when he said Mathieu was the best Safety in the game and Byard pointed out he forgot about the current All-Pros and Deion thought he was just some NFL fan? :lmao2:

No... it didn't. I can name 10 WR that if they were cut today would have a job by tomorrow.

This is not a logical argument (I've said this before). Just because there are 10 WR you can name that would have a job tomorrow if they were cut today, doesn't mean that the timing did not have an effect on Dez signing anywhere.

Antonio Brown would be signed tomorrow, therefore the timing didn't impact Dez at all? That is really the logical progression you came up with?

Well, maybe Deion can have Dez over for dinner... maybe offer a room for rent.

Did he all of a sudden figure out how to run routes, get separation, and catch balls that hit him in both hands? If not, no thanks. On second thought, even if he did, no thanks. He’s still Dez Bryant.

Wanna fix Dez Bryant???

1. Make him get rid of the visor. I distorts his vision. Believe I know...It's cost me a game or 2.

2. Get him a QB that can throw a spiral instead of those wobbling dieing quail that Dak throws. Funny how he could catch a Romo spiral.

3. Put him in a situation where he actually runs a route...instead of throwing him a desperation pass hoping he makes the impossible catch time and again.

The point is, if he was thought to a difference maker now, he would have been signed. You can deflect all you want. The point is valid. The teams have looked at the tape and decided that he is not worth signing. If they thought he was, he would be signed. And it wouldn't have mattered when he was cut, he could have been cut 10 minutes ago, if he was in demand, he would have a job.

He may not be thought of as top 10 anymore, but since when is that the standard? We know he could have signed by now as well, so the argument loses even more. There are a lot of factors we don't know.
We don't know who has contacted him. We don't know what money he is askimg for. We don't know what his priorities are as far as the team he goes to.

And that "argument" is pure speculation anyway. Even AB would likely take a little time because the $ would be huge and teams have to work the cap to make it work. Especially this late in the offseason (which is kind of the point).

There is absolutely zero chance of it happening but what if the stars align for Dez not getting any offers, so he looks for a one year pillow contract to keep playing and rebuild his value?

I think the issue was almost entirely about his contract, if he took a one year deal for 2MM - do you do that? Right now it seems like Gallup, Noah Brown and Lance Lenoir compete for the X receiver position, I do think Dez has declined but if he came back after a big slice of humble pie, he is the starter again.

Deion is right! Personally, I would trade next year's 3rd/4th AND Terrance Williams to Seattle for Earl Thomas. Bring back Deion on a 1-year, $8 million deal and move on.
