so Johnson got caught using steroids and Lewis a stimulant?

he lost the race big time, he never crossed first, ergo he didn't win the race, he was given a gold medal.

The drug tests that he failed were simply covered up.

:bang2:Johnson flunked a drug test at THE OLYMPICS. I don't care if Lewis didn't cross first he was "beaten" by a cheater, a known cheater who got caught. Erasing everything Johnson did in that race. Johnson did nothing after that race and barely before it which proves to me that he was some flash in the pan cheater who avoided getting caught until the absolute worst time of his career.

It's funny. When this came out, Ben Johnson demanded that Lewis's gold medal be taken from him.

When this was told to Lewis, he said something to the effect of, "oh, that's Ben Johnson for you".

When pressed on the issue, Lewis said, everyone was doing it, so it wasn't a big deal.

So my question is....if it's not a big deal, then why not let Ben have the gold medal back, Carl?
Yeah like he's really going to give it back. Lewis isn't dumb and naive like Johnson was. Lewis said that but do you really think he would act on it? I'll give you the answer: NO!

of course not, we all know Lewis cheated too, but he was smart enough not to get caught or to spike Johnson's drink to ensure he was busted for a steroid Charlie Francis said Johnson never took.

Either way, we all know who crossed the line first, and really that is all that matters. If they were all cheating, then Johnson was clearly better than all of them.

The womens Dominican volleyball team just lost, but good lawd they are fine!

So it will be an all American final in women's Beach Volley Ball for the Gold Medal? Nice!

I wouldn't put anything by that sleazeball Lewis. That was the argument from Charlie Francis at the time of the incident.

When you think of it, it is no worse a defence than the long held, I didn't know what I was taking or the "it came from a supplement"

Aly Raismans parents are soooooo annoying.
Not to me. I think they're great. And I like her too. She's been pretty consistent throughout the whole competition. Happy she won gold.

Aly was fantastic. Im glad Bella Karolyi brought it to her coach's attention for the inquiry on the beam. Gold, Gold, Bronze. What a Summer.

Also Happy for the All American Beach Volleyball gold medal match. Rooting for Misty and Kerri to 3peat though.

I missed her performance. What was the inquiry for?

Yeah Aly was awesome. She brought consistency everytime she stepped out there.

Her parents are just rediculous though.

After the beam routine, Aly was in fourth. From the stands, Bella kept yelling for her coach to do an inquiry. Apparently, the judges didnt give her credit for a combination she did. It worked!! The judges changed the score and she ended up a tie for 3rd, but since Aly had higher execution score, she got the bronze.

i don't think they are. i think they're just being supportive of their daughter as she competes on the biggest stage ever.

I picked her as my favorite American gymnast on the first night of competition.

I think the coach in me recognized and was drawn to her leadership, poise, focus, etc.

She just seemed more focused, driven and mature to me.

When she nailed that last performance for the team Gold, .. I was proud of her, ... how stupid is that?

Great competitor!
