2012 London Olympics thread *Spoilers*

China is really good at getting Gold. Maybe we will catch up in Gold in the team sports and Track and Field. But Jamaica is very good at Track and Field so who knows.

Andy Roddick and Novak Djokovic are playing right now on Centre Court.

Novak completely destroyed him. Wow. Mardy isn't playing and Ryan Harrison is out, not sure any other US men are left in the draw...

YES! Look forward to watching that tonight on NBC.

Why do US tv viewers put up with the fact NBC shows the olympics on tape delay?

Hell, even little bitty Canada, has the events live throughout the day and then repeats them.

Good for the US girls though.

Tsonga beat Raonic 25-23 in the 3rd set to advance.

Wow. Take some Xanax before finding your seat.

Look at the father, he's got the look of a man with IBS who just drank a gallon of fire sauce from Taco Bell.

Personally, I loved watching it. Their reactions were intense and showed they were totally engaged in the performance.

US Women's Gymnastics just took the team gold.
I'm mad, because I was looking for it all over the place and they weren't showing it. :(

And CCF, this is NBC's response.

Completely rediculous that they don't show it live.

Also why were the Volley ball girls wearing pants?

Wish they would televise more of the shooting events, i cant ever find it on.

I presume that you can't get coverage from the BBC website outside the UK.

They have 24 channels devoted to Olympic coverage and just about everything is shown live on one of these.

I don't know I rather watch it live but the tape delay doesn't bother me as much as it may bother other people.

But I was annoyed when they tape delayed the last winter Olympics because the USA and Canada have the same time zones and I believe that there were some events that weren't shown live.

awesome *****y response. I guess they figure people would rather watch Kathie Lee and Hoda rather than the Olympics.

Up here, we have three main English channels, CTV, Rogers Sportsnet and TSN carrying stuff live in English, they also use OLN for cycling. French has RDS carrying events.

Of course, still some complain re no equestrian or sailing.

We can also watch all events live online at ctvolympics.ca.

Yeah Novak put on a clinic!! Actually John Isner is still left and his next match is tomorrow.

guys if you want to watch it live online get "Expat Shield", turn it on, then go to the BBC stream. That's what I did and I haven't gone back since.

edit: nevermind

Phelps took Silver in the 200m Butterfly... they said he had the lead attempted to glide to the wall instead of taking the last stroke and got clipped at the touch...

Lost by .04...

Just watched the medal ceremony for the men's 200m Butterfly, and have to say that Phelps behaviour & actions after it were very classy.

US wins 4x200 freestyle...

15th gold and 19th total for Phelps... new record...

Handball.

What a cool sport that I really had no idea about until this Olympics.
After Jake Plummer retired from football, I believe handball is something he decided to get into.

On cable I get 24 x SD channels and 24 HD channels from the Beeb.

I'm spoilt for choice.

Awesome that I can work from home. :)
