The Spurs just weathered the most perfect storm the Clippers could hope to generate. I expect the emotional toll alone will sink the Clippers in game 4.

The clippers threw an upper cut with everything they had. The Spurs spit out a bloody tooth, smiled, and threw a right cross that knocked their *** oit.

Clippers should just shut down CP3. The guy is clearly not the same as he was before the injury. He's hurting them more than he's helping them.

Did you guys see the kitchen sink hit the court in the 1st quarter.....nothing left for Vinny to throw out there.

this series is over.....the Spurs should close it out tomorrow night.

Clippers :lmao:

Nobody's stopping San Antonio this year. They're rolling straight to the title.

BTW....hey Magic......guess the Spurs didn't fall a little short after all....

What a clown. He says the Spurs can't come all the way back, halfway through the 3rd, they were up by 9, after being down 10 at the half.

Magic, time to leave the analyst position, cause you suck.

He's not very good as an analyst.

Doubt that. No one has rolled through a title since the Lakers over a decade ago, but that was back when the East was incredibly weak. Whoever wins between LAL/OKC will give them a run for their money in the WCF. Not sure if either can beat the Spurs, but I guess we'll just have to wait and find out. JVG brought up an interesting point about the Spurs at the end of the game. The Spurs haven't really been challenged in recent years and he wonders if that could hurt them in the next round. We've seen teams that have breezed through the first couple of rounds in recent years like Cleveland in 2009 and Orlando in 2010 and then lose in the conference finals. Not saying its gonna happen to SA, but it's something to think about.

OKC/SA would be a tough series for both teams, but the Lakers are in the same tier as the Clippers and Jazz (as are all potential Finals opponents other than Miami)... It's difficult to picture LAL being much more than a speedbump for the Spurs, but I've been wrong before.

The Lakers are a much better team than the inexperienced Jazz and a banged up Clippers team.

Clever, but this series isn't over. We're down 2-1. We win tonight and it's all even at 2. Gotta win tonight tho. Must win in every sense of the word.

Last year's Mavericks? 07-08 Celtics? 06-07 Spurs? 03-04 Pistons? 02-03 Spurs?

Do your homework before you come in here spouting off gross generalizations.

To be fair to C&LF, while all those teams had strong postseasons, none really came that close to the 2001 Lakers 15-1 (with the 1 in overtime, even) run. I don't know that this is a lack of research rather than a disagreement on the definition of "roll through".

The Spurs were just challenged today, and look what happened. They got knocked down, got back up, dusted themselves off, and knocked the Clippers the BLEEP out!!!

Is the the "NBA thread or the "Spurs" thread? :laugh2:
Spurs are playing fantastic basketball. I feel they are probably going to the finals. However I must say they havent really been challenged much. They drew the Jazz which arent a playoff team then the Clippers minus a healthy Paul. It is what it is. I feel the Lakers and OKC will be a bit different. Again they are playing lights out. They are healthy and Lucky for this. Timmy or Frenchy goes down goodnight. I must give POP credit for managing his teams minutes during the year. POP is the master of the asterick shortened season. People comparing them to 90s Bulls,etc... Cmon. Thats not even close. *****,Muhammed,Buddha arent in the rotation like some here believe, lol.Lot of basketball to be played. Dont put the cart before the horsey Spurs fans and bandwagon fans;)
