I was watching the game with my family. My older bro is such a pessimist during games. He gets so negative about every little thing. He was already looking to game 4, as he felt we lost. I told him, let's just get it down to 14 by half and we will be ok. We got as close as 8, but were down 10 at the half. Then Magic made his stupid comment about us coming up short in the end. I told my Bro we will win this game. He still had some doubts.....but then halfway through the 3rd we were up 9. I love watching games with my bro....he makes me laugh.

Still, the entire game, I did not waiver. I knew we would come back and win. Two years ago, and even part of last year, I could not say this. Had we been down a few years ago, I would have counted us out and expected a 30 pt loss. This year's team is different. I can't explain it, the Spurs fans understand what I am talking about, the non Spurs fans don't get it and are annoyed by our arrogance right now........The arrogance I feel this year is totally based on my lack of confidence from the last few seasons. in the last few years, their flaws have been quite obvious and magnified, especially because of injuries.....but now with their health and depth, their weaknesses are so minimal it is hard to find any.

I also feel that a run like this is a once in a lifetime run and no I do not expect anything like this next season.....we will still be an elite team, if we can bring most of this roster back (we have a lot of FAs)...but I do not expect us to simply dismantle and throttle everyone like we are doing.

So for now, I will embrace this, enjoy it, cherish every moment......I will be arrogant, obnoxious, and overconfident......and I will not apologize for it.....especially if we do win the Championship.....

To be fair to C&LF, while all those teams had strong postseasons, none really came that close to the 2001 Lakers 15-1 (with the 1 in overtime, even) run. I don't know that this is a lack of research rather than a disagreement on the definition of "roll through".

It's a lack of research and general basketball knowledge.

Westbrook is hurt hopefully he can return. Would hate to see yet another play be lost for the season because of injury. If its a serious injury we can thank Dictator Stern for his ridiculous playoff back to back schedule.

The Clippers just aren't that good, especially with CP3 not 100%.

And what a joke that the NBA can let the Lakers floor be that bad. Someone's going to get hurt, if Westbrook didn't already.

Last year's Mavericks? 07-08 Celtics? 06-07 Spurs? 03-04 Pistons? 02-03 Spurs?

Do your homework before you come in here spouting off gross generalizations.

What are you getting at? None of those teams rolled through the postseason.

Man... Kobe is ridiculous tonight. Can't imagine him playing any better at this point.

and then came the 4th quarter......the Lakers up by 12 or so with Kobe on the bench.....Artest is owning the court. Kome comes back in and does what the chucker does best....he chucks.....and bricks the Lakers out of the lead and out of the win.

Nevermind that Bynum and Gasol were owning the post....but neither got anything in the 4th cause the chucker was a blackhole....

This loss, like game 2 is on the shoulders of Kome....who chose to play 1 on 5 in the 4th instead of trusting his teammates.

Not gonna lie I'm feel pretty deflated right now. It feels like its Cowboy season again with all those epic collapses. This is now the 2nd time in the last few days the Lakers flat out give a game away.

Your boy Kobe needs to learn to defer more......his teammates were owning tonight.....Bynum, Gasol, and Artest.....but in the 4th, Kobe refused to look at anyone else. He was in rare ballhog form tonight and it cost his team dearly.

If Kobe would stop being so selfish, the Lakers would probably be up 3-1 in this series instead of down 1-3.....but in game 2 and game 4, he chucked and chucked and bricked and bricked.

The Lakers outplayed them in three of the four games. We should be up 3-1. Maybe this will finally get Mike Clown fired.

Kobe is partly to blame, but so is Mike Brown. The guy clearly doesn't learn from his mistakes. All season long he's constantly designed Kobe iso's and they simply don't work anymore. Kobe played awful down the stretch no doubt, but his idiot coach is partly to blame for some just down right terrible play calling.

I disagree.....If Kobe merely plays within the team concept, the Lakers are up 3-1 in this series....but fortunately for the Thunder, Kobe is all about ballhogging in the 4th and when he is missing, it absolutely kills the Lakers.

please, get real. in the 05 WCF it was the same story. they lost the game, if they were better, they wouldnt have choked away two games. the thunder are clearly the better team

if kobe doesnt go off to begin with they get blown out, the thunder are clearly the better team, you dont lose a series 4-1 when you are the better team

How are they clearly the better team when L.A. outplayed them in 3 of the 4 games and simply choked and gave game 2 and 4 away? If PJ was still coaching we'd be up 3-1.

stop blaming the coach....this is all on the Great Chucker.

Brown is not the reason the Lakers are down 1-3. The Great Chucker is.

But all you want to do is blame the Coach, cause he is an easy scapegoat. Unfortunately for you, you are wrong in this instance. You won't admit that you are wrong, cause you don't really understand that you are wrong. But trust me, I am more than twice your age and I have seen so much more basketball than you can possibly imagine. You are wrong.

Game 2 and 4 are squarely on the shoulders of the Great Chucker.

Kobe was playing well, but he was getting most of his points from attacking the basket. He was getting close range shots and FTs. The Lakers were winning by double digits because Kobe was getting to the FT line, and Bynum and Gasol were getting the ball down low.

Once Kobe started holding the ball the entire shot clock and then chucking up a deep jumper, the offense went to garbage and the Thunder came back.
