2024-25 College Football Thread

I wouldn't bet on that game.
Anyone betting on this Bama team at this point in 2024 is an idiot.
They were Jeckel and Hyde with a 7-5 ATS record. And a variance by game of 18 points versus the spread. Thats nuts.
Milroe's best game of the season was versus Georgia which is about as nuts as any stat on the entire year for any team.

I know Indiana would show up and play hard and play smart and disciplined football.
I know they'd have a great chance to limit Bama on the ground and force Bama to beat them via pass.
I also know Bama had more talent on paper and "could win easily if they got rolling".

Indiana was not good enough to beat ND but it was the closest game of the 4 and they gave up 98 rushing yards on one play. Outside that the defense kept them in it all day. ND defense was simply too good for Indiana to do much of anything so it was awful boring until ND went prevent.

Bama was probably not the 4th best SEC team. They just had 1 really good win. But 1 very good win and 3 bad losses will not get you to the CFP; yet, and hopefully ever.
The fact anyone is even discussing Bama getting in is SEC derangement syndrome.
I'm using Bama as an example b/c they were ranked 11th in the final CFP poll but , b/c of certain questionable rules, they got screwed out of a playoff spot.

SEC homers are so funny.
I'm not an SEC homer because this is my teams first year in it. But I can show you a list of the last 20 National champions and show you what conference they're in.

Saban and Alabama and then look at the teams and their coaches. THAT is why they are champions NOT because they are in the SEC.
Pathetic

Saban wouldn't lead Vanderbilt to a Nation championship in a million years. He wouldn't lead SMU or Tulane to a national championship. You have the uncanny ability to be wrong about everything.

If there were 64 teams, someone would still complain about being left out.

A million you say? lol. I'd take that SMU bet. That school has deep football pockets. You add his name and rep to their resources......... easily a title contender in 2-3 years.

saban and alabama had nothing to do with them being in the SEC
if you are too blind to see that that is your problem

Not really. SMU wouldn't get the top high school recruits no matter who was the coach. At least not on a substantial level.

Any SEC team except Vanderbilt would come closer to winning a national championship over a non SEC team with the exception of Ohio State and Oregon.
Even as bad as Alabama was this year could win it if given the opportunity.
LOL, I am pretty sure Kentucky couldn’t come closer to winning a NC than say ND.

This is idiocracy. Thats why the resident SEC Jethro liked it.
SEC teams lost a lot of non conf games and will lose bowl games.
4 SEC teams won less SEC games than Vandy.
The SEC is not that good this year. Tennessee finished 3rd and was embarrassingly bad in the CFP losing by the worst total amongst the round 1 blowouts.
Ohio State finished 3rd in the Big 10. That was a match up 3rd place teams and the 6th and 7th ranked top 25 teams. Tennessee was hilariously outclassed and overrated.

If you are going to slurp up the SEC foam at least learn the conference.

There are 8 teams left, 2 of them SEC. So in fact 6 teams have come closer to winning a CFP title than 14 SEC schools.

I know who every team in the SEC. I am not slurping them up. My point is the worse SEC teams could beat just about every non SEC team. The only two non SEC teams that can hang with the SEC is Oregon and Ohio State.

Are you talking about this year, or any year?
