i agree.
but as good as georgia is,they have been uneven.
it's a game notre dame can win.
i think the irish are more talented than given credit.
freeman has done a excellent job recruiting.
the fact they have had some injuries to key starters...like ben morrison...and seeing freshmen step in and make plays has been a revelation.
georgia may win.
but so could notre dame.
should be a fun game.
cheers and go♧irish.
How far can ND go with Leonard though

I do think this year was a good step towards becoming a strong contender than they were with Kelly

Im not sure who they are returning, but both backs are studs and should be back next year. Love cant declare. Price can, but he will need a good SR year to get drafted

That's game...another 1st round blowout. Clemson playing too conservative instead of trying to pull off the upset. Punting on 4th and 1 earlier and then not going for it in the red zone on 4th and 5 down by 2 TDs.

So far , this playoff has been pretty disappointing and predictable. Indiana, SMU, and Clemson were not playoff worthy adversaries. Unfortunately, I think we are in for 2 more duds next week with BSU and ASU out of their depths as well.

"all they could handle"
thats what troy aikman said during the game last week about IU.
herbstreit similar on gameday.
mcafee picked IU.
its all noise.
They are idiots. Indiana doesn't have a win against a top 20 team and they just got destroyed a few weeks ago by OSU. They lucked out not having to play PSU or OSU or Oregon in the regular season. They beat an unranked Michigan 20-15. That was their best win of the year. SOS has to matter more than it did this year going forward. I want competitive games.

honestly.
neither do the teams you mentioned.
it shoulda been notre dame vs penn st...ohio st vs texas.
we never had an argument about 12 teams.
they should trim it back,in my opinion.
Uh no, those teams proved they are capable of beating top tier teams. Go look at the SOS. Alabama beat UGA. Ole Miss beat Georgia, South Carolina beat Clemson. All of those are better wins than anything IU did. You give any of those teams the Big 10 cupcake schedule IU played and they would be 11-0 too...... and maybe we would be watching better games in round 1.

This game is a talent mismatch. Clemson is a 3 loss team who won a pathetic conference this year. Their best win and only top 20 win was against an equally overrated SMU team.

Playoff needs to stop with the guaranteeing conference champions nonsense. 12 best teams only. Period.

i dont need to see 2 loss anybody playing in the playoffs.
there was never an argument about 12 teams deserving.
they should cut it in half.
1 and 2 get a bye.
3 v 6.
4 v 5.
thats all we need.

jeremiyah love is unreal.
reminds me of ricky watters but more explosive.
i'd like to see him get some passes his way.
the coaches think if he were to play corner...he would be drafted rd1.
incredible athlete.

You ND fans don't need to convince me. I'm not a hater. I’m genuinely enjoying the mix-up of teams this year. It’s refreshing to see something different. In the end, the winners will prove themselves. If these so-called 'more talented' teams are as good as everyone says, they’ll win the games they’re supposed to, plain and simple.

The beauty of college football is the unpredictability and the chance for all teams to prove themselves on the biggest stage. Limiting the playoffs to only talent-rich teams would make it stale and repetitive. Conference winners earn their spot, and that’s what makes it exciting. Underdogs and fresh matchups bring the kind of energy that keeps the sport alive. The shake-up is what makes college football special.

.....but I guess we should abolish the rest of the NCAA and just all watch the SEC on repeat.

Well, there should be an argument. When you have teams getting into the playoff without a single win over a top 20 opponent, it's obviously a problem. 11-0 start means nothing. What should matter is your record, quality of wins, and SOS. A win over a top ranked team should matter more than an undefeated record against nobody. Why? Because we want good games. Indiana has one guy who might get drafted in round 3 next year. Thats it. How can they compete against OSU and ND with rosters loaded with future NFL players? They can't. I don't want to see those games. Ole Miss vs ND would have been a much better game.

It's all just a business. More than 8 teams is really unnecessary but it will only keep increasing from here. These playoff games are pretty much replacing the bowl season that we used to care about 15+ years ago. They know that those bowl games are worthless today because of players opting out, transferring, etc so no one is going to watch. Add 10+ of these "playoff" games and suddenly people will watch again.

That is why they play the games because internet experts can be wrong
In the end its about winning games and you seem to forget about that

there has never been 12 deserving teams.

I would be all right with 8 teams and no byes at most but I do like your way
After Oregon, you had five or six teams that you could make a case for.
