3 holds on 1 play right in front of 2 officials on the field. Not a single flag was thrown on this obvious holding play. There were others like this throughout the game that helped Ohio State all game long.

Ewers choked big time when it mattered the most. His sidearm throwing motion caused several too highly thrown balls to open receivers which would have kept drives alive. He also had several passes batted down at the line of scrimmage for that very same reason: his stubbornly dumb sidearm throwing motion where the ball comes out so low. Various times in the 1st half, Ewers simply wilt and gave up for easy sacks when he had good protection but refused to run with the ball when his receivers were covered. Then the 2 game costing turnovers by him to end the game after they were within a yard of scoring their 3rd TD, tying the game and sending it into overtime. All signs of choking under pressure.
Dude, last week go look at the stats. He single handedky got them into the game tonight their last 5 drives. Clutch. Tonight he had 3 WR drops in the first half. He hit them even. The guy isn’t perfect. He does move up in the pocket too easily. He overthrows But your assessment is so far off when Sark and the Oline were worse..,and refs. Late that’s not on him

Ehhh, OSU was gonna be a heavy fave whether it was PSU or ND. They were clearly the most talented team left IMO.

ND just opened as a 9.5 pt dog.
Yep

ND was favored over PSU
Big dogs vs the Bucks

Yeah I don’t think Ewers or Howard are special. They are certainly very good college QBs but I don’t see either having much of an NFL future.

Both are surrounded by a ton of NFL talent at multiple positions which makes them look better than they would be in the NFL.
This.

I could see both making an NFL roster
But nothing special
Seems like a backup

The Longhorns would have won the game with Manning at the helm, especially if played a lot more and groomed the way Ewers has the past 2 years. It's clear Ewers is Sarkisian's boy who he has chosen to ride with the past 2 seasons, and both times he has been absolutely wrong.

Listen I don’t love Ewers even though he’s a Southlake product. My two UT older brothers and I fight about him a lot and it involves his ability to settle in and get out of the pocket. Manning should have been in at goal line 1 play. But I don’t put this game on Ewers and he was balls last week. Sark and Oline were bad all game. If they stuck with run/screens/short throws they had this game. Sarks in love with 3-5 step slow plays. Kills me. But no guarantee he puts Manning in best place either. Their D deserved better

That was a big conversion too. How they missed that one hold is pretty funny.

PSU actually was a slight fave by kickoff.

It switched hours before the game as reports were coming out ND was dealing with a stomach virus issue.

SMH.

Ewers is a bonafied choker. Dak isn't. Dak can at least scramble and run at times when needed. Ewers can not. Dak throws overhand. Ewers throws a super costly sidearm throwing motion. Dak is a better passer than Ewers. Definitely a better scrambler.
you really need to get professional help.

I don't know why, but that was sobering to read. Absolutely insane it's just about been that long. Blows my mind where the time goes.
Yes, crazy right? My phone gives me these little photo reminders of stuff I have done in the past. Well I took my wife and children to that 2014 wild card game where Romo threw the late touchdown pass to Terrance Williams to cap The comeback victory. And I had a little reminder pop up on my phone with some pictures of that day and it said "10 years ago today"

Just crazy how time flies

Someone said they would get rolled by PSU too
Not me, I thought that would be a pretty good battle. Ohio state is light years ahead of Penn State offensively. If Penn State managed to score 24 against Notre Dame, Ohio State might score 44
