Since trading for Luka the Lakers are once again out of the playoffs. Love to see it lol
In the Mavs last playoff run, Luka averaged 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 8.5 assists per game in the playoffs. NEARLY AVERAGING A TRIPLE DOUBLE.No I don’t dislike him. I never thought he was top 3. He’s a great player. I’m in the minority but how you guys feel about Luka I feel about Jayson Tatum. Luka is a great offensive player but the notion he carried Dallas is annoying.
And the Mavs didn’t even make the playoffs. Lol.Since trading for Luka the Lakers are once again out of the playoffs. Love to see it lol

If that isn’t “carrying Dallas” through the playoffs as a top 3 player…..I don’t know what to tell you. It’s not debatable to be honest.

I wouldn’t be laughing at Luka as a Mavs’ fan.
Well with Wiseman……the pick should’ve been Lamelo. Maybe that’s revionist. I remember Wiseman hype but to me he didn’t really fit the Warriors fast paced offense. I do wonder if Ant is the pick if they get 1 that year.
I remember when Knicks passed up Hali I think for Obi….they kept talking about how he was falling. I guess it’s all revionist history but damn seems like trading down and getting Hali would’ve been the move.Based on things I’ve heard Kerr say, they probably wouldn’t have taken Ant. Kerr shared with Ant that he wasn’t impressed with Ant’s preparedness when they worked him out (Ant admitted as much).

LaMelo would have been the real alternative but I don’t think Kerr would stomach his freelancing. Kerr is notorious for not trusting rookies/young players in his system and I don’t think he’d have had the patience to allow LaMelo to evolve/mature his game.
The Dubs were also rumored to really have liked Haliburton but thought #2 overall was too rich (he ended going 12th overall). That one hurts and could have changed the trajectory of the team.
He’s had an eventful year I didn’t know all this was going on. Always pains me to see someone so young die after fulfilling their dream.
That’s too bad. Potential overdose.
