He will be 25 years old when the season starts. So a TE drafted at least 1 round too early, 4 years older than most other players, injury issues, and unproductive in terms of a receiving TE......great job Jerry.
Dak needed some Schoon. Nasty run blocker, soft hands better athlete than Ferguson. Allows Mike to run 2-3TE sets and play power football.

We can't rely on Dak to to throw it in the playoffs, we're gonna have to run it.

So, who's running the football? Pollard can't stay healthy for more than 4 games when getting 20+ touches.

Rather of had an OL with a chance of becoming a starter or at least in the rotation like Torrance.

I think a lot of their targets were off the board and this was a fallback safe pick.

His elite athleticism (9.86 relative athletic score) gives him a sky-high pass-catching ceiling, as he has the speed to stretch the seam, the agility to create separation in and out of his breaks and the size combined with the leaping ability to present a mismatch even in contested-catch situations. Schoonmaker’s athleticism, paired with his lower-body flexibility and physicality, gives him an incredibly high ceiling as a route runner, which would be a welcome sight for quarterback Dak Prescott.

So a 25-year-old run-blocking TE in the 2nd round is better than a 23-year-old potential starting OG???? Okay.

You not running the football in the playoffs. We’ve seen that for two years now.

Better athlete than first thought but the pick leaves a lot to be desired. Will turn 25 this year, so would get a 2nd contract at 29?

Interesting. They really have seemed to put a huge emphasis on athleticism in this draft.

I didn't say that. I understand where your coming from but Steele, Tyron Smith, Zach Martin and Tyler Smith will be the starters. Schoon at 25 years old is plug and play right now on a playoff roster and brings some nasty and a vertical threat to the offense that the play caller coveted, especially when you play teams like SF and Philadelphia.

I want a guard too, we have time to get a guard later in the draft, FA or next year's draft.
