When you know your playing a pressure defense you also know you have to get rid of the ball quicker. Eli Manning did that when he beat the Panthers defense in their prime. Romo tried to hold the ball like Dak and they lost. This loss is on Dak, those guys did enough but Daks indecision and patting the ball cost the Cowboys a chance at being competitive.

Yea, I think that was pointed out in the commentary, that there were short windows of open(ish) receivers but that Dak couldnt process quickly enough (or he wasnt confident enough with his accuracy).

Same ole Dak.

You want to win with Prescott as QB? Start by being honest about his abilities. Here are some spoilers
1. He is not an elite QB - never has been and never will be.
2. He needs an O-Line that is basically the Great Wall of China
3. An equally potent running game that can move the sticks even with a stacked box to keep the chains moving in the early downs so that we don't get to 3rd down and it's 9 or 10 yards. The Cowboys this year sucked at converting any third down greater than 5 yards. That's basically a down they would be passing and it's a bloody shame that Mr. Elite QB can't seem to get the ball down the field to pick up anything greater than 5 bloody yards

Dak Prescott is a bus driver, and hey there is nothing wrong with that provided you are honest about who and what he is and actually work to limit his flaws. It only works if you understand this and actually pay him like a bus driver and then use the savings to make sure the O-Line does not have a turnstile at guard and a suspect Center and an aging injury and penalty prone LT. This is the guy who needs a blocking TE to give him the time to process things.

Spot on.....so many fans bemoaning Travis/Witten retirement, La'el and Tyron not being the players they once were, well that's the evolution of a unit. The whole debate over Dak was whether to use the massive CAP hit on his skills or across the roster.....we cant have it both ways.

What Ward stated, was not a revelation. All teams did the same, the better teams succeeded.

Wasn't it mentioned that the 49er's were ranked 32nd in defending passes of over 15 yards. It's a damning indictment on Dak if the opposition trusts their greatest weakness over his abilities.

.....doesnt matter that we cant defend mid-level coverage....as Dak isnt accurate enough to hurt us.
Day played poorly. But no team, no matter who the QB is, plans to stop the pass and make a team run the ball. They all try to take away the run first. When GB plays this weekend, their opponent will try to take away the run and force Rodgers to throw even more. No one wants to be run on because it destroys your defense. That’s all I’m saying. Good teams manage to run the ball. Troy Aikman won titles and a bust at the HOF throwing 20-25 passes per game. Last night Stafford threw the ball 17 times, completing 13 for 202, yet he’s receiving praise. Good teams run the football which helps the QB. GB, TB, SF, LA are all running the ball.

Its 2022 and you guys still lilsten to the opposing teams comments about our team as if there's some truth to it. You notice after a win they don't say a thing?

I am apologizing to Pappy, Willie, Rison, Catch, Atlanta, Mountaineer, Khalidi, and the rest of the Dak haters. Dak had the ball at midfield at the two minute warning 1st down, three timeouts. A top 12 quarterback wins that game. San Francisco was also down 3 of their top defensive players. Shoot, Kirk Cousins wins that game.

So you are apologizing to the 4Horsemen and JJ Dillion, this is a first on here for the crew.

The tape don't lie, Dak doesn't do many things well as a QB.

No pocket awareness
Poor accuracy
Can't read defenses
Late release/poor route anticipation

How did the front office come into the conclusion that Dak merited a 40M per season contract with so many red flags?
PEER PRESSURE . . . The Dakaholics Demanded it

It does matter who the QB is. Josh Allen doesn't give ** about the run game because he is the run game. Rodgers and Mahomes make their run game because defenses can't stack the box unless they want to get destroyed. You are correct in saying that those teams run the ball but there's reasons why they are able to do so. Those QBs scare defenses.. Dak doesn't scare anyone so it's exactly what Ward said.

666 is a done deal now he got his 97 million guaranteed and is pretty much done as no way he survives another season out there.
Who the heck can save the next 2-3 years for us that is the question which I fear there is no answer for.......
Grier will be the Next unsung Hero . . .

Honest question.......how many think 49er win the game with 14 penalties for over 100+ yards. No, I'm not excusing Dak's poor performance, just being real. To lay to this loss on him 100% is misguided......the entire team, coaches included lost this game.

All the things his scouting report said. Here we are, six seasons in, and none of this has changed. And yet, we were repeatedly called "low football IQ morons" by certain posters for pointing it out.
