what message? that we paid a mid round pick, for a QB that was beat by a 7th rounder and a QB that was dumped by two teams before he got to niners and is no longer on the niners.

this is a reclamaition project. low cost. low risk. if it works out. great. we got a steal. if it doesn't we just only wasted a 4th round pick. chances of failure are much higher than success. we got two years to see if this kid can develop.

with that said, I like the move. its developing a potential good QB. Dak is 30 and team has to think ahead. its not about sending Dak a message. its the Bash Dak Over Dallas Cult, getting caught up in TMZ type mindset.

Would we have a 57 page thread on whoever our 4th round pick would have been next year? Hell no!

We got Trey Lance for a 4th rounder. Its at the VERY WORST a loss of a 4th round pick. BIG FREAKING DEAL!

At best we have a great #2 and maybe even a number #1 or someone we can trade in a couple of years for a higher pick if Lance performs well but Dak remains #1.

Nobody is winning a championship with Dak making Mahomes money. TL provides hope that the FO is open to doing something different at the QB position.

Just like Hurts, Wentz was the best QB in football improving year over year his first couple years then he fell apart.

One year doesn't make a QB great. Stafford came in to a team that was built to win that year but not much more after that. The Rams look like more of a train wreck than Dallas does right now.

Garropolo has not really done that much more than Dak as a starter despite having arguably way better defenses and way better offensive lines than Dallas has had. I would say Dallas' receivers have mostly been better between the two. But not by that much.

Manifestly at the time stafford was available, he was hands downs a much much better passer than Dak . Not many will argue Dak was a better passer . And the cowboys could have saved 27 mil ! He went for 22 mil vs Dak 40 !! . and yes the rams went all out to win a SB . I wish we could have , it has been 28 years . I would take a few bad years if a SB is secured .

I would hope when it comes time to replace Prescott they would get a veteran or at least someone with great potential. That’s not what this is supposed to be. This is the back up replacement.

I don’t know if KS is a QB guru.. his offense is built on the zone blocking schemes and running the ball, with a lot of play action. Who has he really developed?
