Yes, the defense has done nothing since sept so what will allow me to have confidence in them stopping anyone now? The fact that is too much pressure on Romo and the offense to score means it's a good chance we will lose again

They did pretty well last week against Tampa and also against Seattle, they just didn't get any help from the offense. I'll admit that the defense hasn't been very good and have been overrated by many, but I think Romo coming back will help the offense stay on the field and score points while keeping the defense fresh and not on the field.

To be fair we've had high hopes and then been disappointed repeatedly since the late 90s. Can't really blame him for his lack of hope this time around.

Davis and Luke are about as old school as it gets.
