We know the Cards game was an aberration.. we still have a great defence.. yes they had a bad game but they will be back.. they are too good not to be.

I have no problem in admitting Im a Homer.. and if you are playing for the Boys, then whilste you are I am 100% rooting for you.

Lets hope that Dak can dink and dunk all the way to the SB.. its been done before.

I get that people think many QB's can dink and dunk so why pay Dak top 10 $$.. thats fair.. but the QB we have this season is Dak.. so for the time being he's my QB and Im hoping he takes us all the way. I believe our D is good enough to give us the 1 in 32 chance that any team has to win the SB this year.

Yes Im a Cowboys homer.. always been one.. always will be one.

One of the biggest concerns about Dak is his inability to elevate a team even when it's compromised. He's never really gotten over that hump and show that he's that dude. He's basically our version of Kirk Cousin's with a little more overall talent.
I will cut him some slack given the Oline injuries against Arizona but he needs to demonstrate it was an aberration and not a continuing trend or he will lose this fanbase pretty fast.
Dak's a cool dude but eventually the walk has to match the Talk.
And match the big dollar contract

I'm gonna guess the focus is on Prescott because he gets paid 40 million a year to be a franchise QB and never exhibits any of the skills of a franchise QB.

See, you can desperately try to make him just one of the gang but that contract comes with expectations and he simply can't meet them. Not just this last game. Ever.

They pay 40 million a year and get......nothing in return.
I am in agreement with you on his contract. It has been my biggest complaint about Dak. He was never worth $40 million even before Jerry gave it to him. And he won't be worth the next contract either. But Jerry will give it to him mostly because Jerry boxed himself into a corner. But no matter what he gets paid, he was still not the reason they lost. You want more from him, then fine, but I will be the farm that the same expectations will not be foisted on #11 when he gets a huge contract too.

Trusts me, when Dak blows a game I will be there to criticize him, I am not a Dak super fan. But so much of what went wrong Sunday that led to the loss had nothing to do with Dak. Could Dak have played better. I am sure even he would say he could have.

Meaning what? It was Dak's fault that they could not push it in the red zone? The same Dak that had such a great red zone record in 2022? 5 times the offense got inside the 10 yard line. Last year they would have cashed in on 3 or 4 of them. Is that Dak?

The offensive line played well on Sunday.
Oh, did they?

1st drive - Penalty on Steele, false start, killed the drive

2nd drive - Dak was sacked for 11 yards., Dak was sacked for 7 yards, forced the Cowboys to settle for a field goal

3rd drive - Penalty on T.J.Bass, offensive holding, Penalty on Steele , false start

5h drive - Penalty on Edoga, offensive holding, killed the drive

8th drive - Penalty on Tyler Smith, offensive holding

Not only was Dak pressured all day but the penalties by the offensive line constantly added additional pressure.

Others in this locker room, not just the team captains hear the same, more than any of us do.
MP walks around growling all the time for a real reason, just holding back his real thoughts because he is smart enough to realize the politics of the situation, but
MP behind closed doors has very little respect for Dak.
Lol how do we know this?

The irony is thick. its trolls like you with the sundrome. Lol

Duh, dak doesnt lift up the team. :lmao::laugh::lmao:

I normally don't wade into Dak threads. Typically full of BS and bad information.

But this OP is right. Dak needs to be our difference maker. He's supposed to be the star.

At this point in his career, it shouldn't even be a question that he will pull off some magic. He's done it at times in the past. But he's just not that guy. He seems to be out of ideas.

Redzone wasnt good and there were several reasons why. Dak wasnt one of them. I rewatched the game 3 times.

by the time dak forced the bad pick the game was already over. Meaningless.

dak actually saved our *** all game long on 3rd down and long extending drives with clutch throws and with his legs. False starts, holding, sacks offensive PI, didnt matter. Dak extended the drives despite these miscues.
What game were you watching? Dak missed throws you simply can't miss if you're a top QB. He is supposed to be the veteran...the grizzled veteran who is calm in moments like these. The man was sweating niagara falls in the 4th quarter - as usual. His eye is bigger than his belly. You can't eat up 25% of the cap and then bemoan his 3 pro-bowl linemen who weren't there to prop him up. He's got a #1. He's got other weapons that other QBs would die for. He just doesn't know how to use them. Period.

So the year Dak threw the most in his career he had the most INT's? are you sure about this? probably should check things before you say them...but hey what do facts matter in this narrative of yours?
you are the one that is completely ignoring facts and logic on whatever quest this is for you.

I would certainly agree that Sunday's game was a cluster of mistakes by a lot of folks and it was far from the worst game Dak has played. However, you are supposed to have a decided advantage when you have an eight year starter at the most important position and the opponent has a journeyman looking for his first win.

Dobbs got his team out of situations like you listed above to keep drives alive. Every QB faces these issues. Dak doesn't overcome them enough. That's the frustration.

Agree, but it's more that he cannot go through his progressions quickly enough and doesn't see the field all that well.
