By all accounts, this years draft was supreme, every pick Dallas made could have been met with a high grade, had they been picked a round early. CeeDee was just a bonus, icing on the cake for a solid draft, making it legendary.

So now, envision this
QB
Dak, Garrett Gilbert, Dinucci
Starting O-line
Tyron Smith, Blue chip top 10 overall LG if Surtain isn't available, Biadisz, Zack Martin, La'el Collins
Backups: Williams, Steele, Looney, McGovern
WR
Cooper, Gallup, Lamb, Wilson, Brown
TE
Schultz, Jarwin
RB
Elliott, Pollard, 4th round RB

D Line
DLaw, Gregory, Aldon Smith, Gallimore, Woods, Anae, Armstrong, 3rd round pick B

LB's
VanderEsch, Jaylon Smith, THomas, Bernard, 3rd Round pick A

Secondary
Diggs, Lewis, 2nd round pick, (or Surtain in the first) Reggie Robinson, Woods, Wilson, (Brown or Awuzie)

That still leaves 11 players to keep on the roster, 8 more after LS, P, and K are covered. This roster could be so stacked, with quality players in 2 successive drafts! Injuries have a silver lining, because this roster will be so excessively talented, we could see sustained years of success if the coaching improves.

Who else would you add?
I would add a few dozen front office football people to take over football operations and relegate the Jones family to signing checks and finding new pieces of art for the stadium.

I don't know about a dynasty, but this team is far better than their current record.

When healthy, this team was a super bowl pick for many football mouthpieces a few months ago.

While that's nice rhetoric, you are what your record says you are. Injuries happen to every team. They all go through the same adversities. Covid has even hit other teams harder.... No more excuses. They are what their record says they are. Dak going down is the worst injury...but other teams have gotten success without their starting QB.

They are not a better team until they PROVE it on the field of play...not in fantasy minds.

Hey, anything is possible. I mean, the chances of us starting a dynasty could be 1 in 20 billion, but hey, that one chance still exists.

I don't know about a dynasty with this FO, but you are correct on what the team looks like when the injured players come back. We brought in a new coach to get over the hump, unfortunatley in the dog of a year its hard to judge anything. We draft defense and add a FA D-player, we could very well be a legite contender if this coaching staff has anything to them.

There's a quote from the Wolf in Pulp Fiction that fits here, but I'll keep it G-rated.
Let's get by the divisional round of the playoffs before tossing "dynasty" around. :muttley:

A dynasty is definitely in the works

Can you imagine winning 3 or 4 division titles in a 5 year span and only winning a total of 17 games? That would be the greatest dynasty the league has ever seen

DT's.

We might be able to form a dynasty when we realize that DT's must be drafted constantly.

If we draft well, this team will be good in 2-3 years.
Boyhowdy, you shoulda seen the bots freaking out when I pointed this out preseason!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pretty sure some ended up hospitalized w/ coronaries!!!

Basically, when a new coaching staff takes over, it takes 2-3 years for the coach to get "his guys" in there. His guys means the type of players he needs to run his system.

Exactly... and now we get to add more premium draft picks this upcoming offseason, because of the injuries. We can trade some players away for additional picks or players that fit the scheme. Rarely does such a talented team get to add talent two years in a row.

Yup. Our record says we are way too QB dependent and need a better D w/ more depth.

Dynasty if....we clean out the coaching staff for
A Competent one, steal Trevor Lawrence in the draft along with a starting OL, DL, LB, and DB and completely change the loser culture

Cowboys...dynasty...Jerry....ha

Ever since Jerry's ego took over the cowboys have been mediocre. If it wasn't for Jimmy, jerry would argurably be one of the worst football owners ever.

Cowboys will never have another dynasty with the Jones owning the team.

Are we really talking about a dynasty when this organization hasn’t even been to an NFC championship game since 1996? A team that’s 3-8 and didn’t make the playoffs last year. Jerrah Jones GM? Now I know why other football fans make fun of Cowboy fans, every year we talk like they are are on the verge of dynasty when they are an accident waiting to happen with Jerrah in control.

I'd honestly get rid of most of this team. Its funny the Cowboys chose to pay everyone but Dak.....I would've probably got rid of everyone and built around Dak and Lamb. Maybe Gallup and Cooper too but they are a unit who leads the league in drops.......I would've traded Zack Martin and Tyron for draft capital and if I couldn't get a 1st for them I would've kept them.
