Why . . . yes . . . I do.

I am hauling junk from the grouns of the halfway house and sweating and stuff and i see police in their crisp uniforms in air-conditioned cars driving past and shouting epithets at me.

Oh, the cops makes me sooooo angry sometimes!!!!!

Well, to be fair, I think you have to look at each occupation.

I am a Programmer by trade and there is absolutely no way that I am in more danger than a Police Officer.

Now on the other hand, Offshore Drillers, Convenience store clerks and Taxi Drivers.....

i don't like cops they are arrogant

All cops are? I work around many cops here at Harris County and I will say there are some that have no business being police officers but there are a lot more of them who are very good people who are out to serve the public and do a good job.

Your arguments have went from asinine to just silly now.

So lets apply this green people analogy to your taxi driver argument. So you're saying 7 out of 10 black people will leave without paying, because "that's what they do"?

So it's completely justifiable for a taxi driver to ignore them?

Ok, you bring me some facts that say 70% of the people who ditch a cabby without paying are black..... then I might take you seriously, until then I'm done.

I don't have the stats for that stuff however it there was a stat to back it you would believe then are you saying the taxi cabs aren''t picking black people up because they are black ?

How are some of you even beginning to speak for other races? If you're not that race - how could you speak for it? Until you're racially profiled, and harassed by the cops - It's impossible that you would even have a clue.

Telling someone they have no character because they admit some people have it out for cops? Well, cops have it out for certain races. It's a known fact... anywho, racism is a problem today, and if you ignore that fact - you're just in denial. People are harassed every day by cops via Racial Profiling.. He was probably calling for help because he was scared. If you've never been in that situation - how could you possibly judge him, or "the situation" ? I feel sorry for the guy.. because both stories on opposite side of the spectrum, and of course the media is only going to hammer the "Police" side of the story.. he will be made out to look like a drunken alcoholic who is a little baby. It's a shame, because we won't know what happened at all. The Police' side of the story will be one side of the ball field, and the people on that boat.. their side of the story will be on the other side of the ballfield.

Just hope this ends quickly for the guy so he can go back to his career.

Hope this doesn't sound... insulting to any of you. It wasn't my intention. Just trying to shed some light on this situation.

So because you chose a different career those who chose to be a police officer is scum......lol Its all clear to me now.

I worked in the oil fields right out of high school. It only took me 6 months to figure out that is NOT what I wanted to do for a living.

I live in Union County and it is the exact opposite for me. So who is right who is wrong. Or is it possible for us both to be right. we are from the same place nor do we live the same life or had the same living experiences.

I say we just sit here and let all the drama play it's self out. With more time the truth on what really happened will move forward. Until then I will just watch the process unfold.

If they are truly being pulled over everytime they go out (and other boats aren't), it would make you wonder about racial profiling.

A minority as in she is one of the few that would marry you. I got to find me one of those.

And how do you know this is a FACT? Are you a cop? Do you racially profile. Thats using your own example of not speaking for a different race. How can you speak for a police officer if you are not one?

It is insulting. Because you are doing exactely what you accuse other of doing. You are lumping all officers into a group based on a very few bad apples.
