They have back up? True but in some cases back up could be anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour a way.
DaBoys4Life;2074002 said:like is said if 7 out of 10 green ppl since I don't want to relate this to race anymore. If 7 out of 10 green ppl smack you in the face every time you said hello to them would you continue to say hello to them? Let me get this is antoher asinine analogy i guess.

Boring. Noneventful.
The average persons, IMHO, works much harder and is exposed to much greater risk. When one of our fellow citizens gets hurt, we don't rampage through town trying to find the perp. And we are not allowed to carry guns.
If we meet a thug on the street we just have to hope he/they will not bother us.
Police, like I said, have guns and have backup. They are one call away from requesting backup in the form of the entire department. Even their nondeadly weapons are effective, which we don't carry.
But police act as if they've been terribly hurt when I say this, and I understand.
I just think the average police officer on the street is safer than the average persons on the street. That's all.
Oh, and they do seem to think they are above the law. Because they are the law and to dispute them is to risk a ride down to headquarters.
Having said that, heavyg, I respect you and what you do. Just quite stopping me because of my race and just because I weave the car wildly.

adamknite;2074018 said:Why would they slap me in the face for saying hello to them?
I'd stop saying Hello to the 7 that slapped me, but it wouldn't stop me from being friendly to others.

heavyg;2074027 said:LOL. If you weave your car wildly I don't care what color you are. Your getting pulled over. I have never ONCE stopped someone soley based on race. Unless a BOLO was sent out and that persone matched the description

DCBoysfan;2074036 said:Because there have been times that after they would response to a shooting and found a person down, the people who did the shooting have came back to try to finish the job. Sometimes we even have to follow the ambulance to the Hospital to prevent any more incidents.
