What I learned was Romo has lost his job.

After the game..

Jerrah was asked again if Romo was going to be the starter when he was healthy..

For the first time Jerrah said "we'll have to see"""

That's a very different answer Han 2 days ago.

Romo has been demoted.

Keep in mind Jerry was hit in the head by a helmet..lol jk.

Seriously though.. I wouldn't pay attention to what Jerry is saying about how this football team is being run. This year it's like he has his own commentary and then Jason does what he wants.

Beaz had 3 receptions for 66 yards but the average was 22 yards per, not bad for getting all that attention with the last reception being the game!
Let me be clear. I wasnt taking a shot a Cole, but how long was that last reception. They caught the d sleeping on what Dak himself called an extended hand off. I love what Beasley brings to the team, and he is our best route runner, but he still is not the number 1 that some say he is. My post was more about posters than Cole.

I completely understood your perspective, just emphasizing that even in receiving much attention, the Beaz still made some critical plays in the game even if only a handful!

And I don't think Dak will have 5-interception days like Romo has had or average 11 INTs per season or have 117 career INTs over 13 seasons.
Dak does not seem to be a gunslinger, a good thing.
More and more Dak reminds me of Aikman. Another good thing.
Dude, I wrote about this a short while ago, but I didn't put both names together, but I have it saved on my computer for future posts.

Aikman was in a way, boring. He was a cautious QB with a big arm that threw a lot to the sideline, just like Dak does, and methodically moves the ball down the field. This is the same as Dak. He's wasn't fazed by pressure, or the moment, or the game, or anything, same as Dak. His press conference are bland and to the point, just like Dak. His focus was iron-clad, just like Dak. The only thing Dak and Aikman are different is that Dak can run, and Aikman had a rifle for an arm.

So Dak is going to have a better career than Brady, Manning or Romo interception wise then huh?

Brady 16 yrs -150
Manning 18 yrs -251
Romo, 10 yrs 117

Wait Aikman 12 yrs 141!!!

That is just stupid talk!

he also might be tired of the question. Lets face it, we know Romo is going back in, the question everyone should be asking is "Will the Cowboys do the correct thing" chances are great everyone knows the answer. No. They will put Romo back in until he suffers a career ending injury. Hes not getting younger, the body isnt getting better, meds dont stop breaks. Again, i still want Romo on the team, as back up which isnt a bad thing now a days and get him ready to take over as QB coach. Its a nice slide, hes had a good life and a good career he can be proud of. Playing him as a starter is like starting Witten, we arent getting anything out of it. the season is lost again , thats the way the organization wanted it, its the way it is. Toss our clip boards, scream at the world but for the love of football, ride Dak for the season and get him his experience.

I still disagree with most of you about the taunting penalty. The niner was grabbing at the ball and trying to pry it out of his hand well after he was down. Possibly talking a lot too. Butler flipped the ball and it did not hit the defender. Why can't he throw the ball down? I've seen much worse not called.

Considering Dak looks to be closer to RG3 rookie numbers... But stats can be misleading. The only real knock on Dak and the gameplan is the fact that he RARELY throws farther than 10-15 yards

I said this in another thread but it bares repeating..

Becuz our HC is a former QB and backed up Aikman..

he knows the starter will not lose his job due to injury.

Therefore Romo will be back..

but with enormous expectations.

Which maybe a good thing for Romo..

or it maybe bring closure to his career sooner than expected.

I think it was a soft taunting penalty, but my only complaint is...We were a few plays from crushing their spirits. If they come back and score we could be 2 and 2 instead of 3 and 1. You dont have to get pulled into that silliness to prove your point. Not at that time. If the game was out of reach, cool, do you, but with the game still in the balance, you have to think about more than your pride.

No, he hasn't lost his job and Jerry said exactly what he should have said.

Look, if Dak beats the Bengals and Packers and we are looking at 5-1 then that is a legitimate question and that's why Jerry has to leave the door open and I agree. What's missing from these conversations is context, ie, - what would Romo be doing with the same offense and in that regard he probably looks like 2014 and the current running game is even better because you cannot afford to stack the LOS against Romo.

It's an observation through absence bias. Yes, we see what we have but we don't see what we could have.

The story will be "We want Tony's back to heal 100% and luckily we have a backup who is playing well giving Tony plenty of time to heal"

The truth? Dak is better than Tony and gives us the best chance to win and unless Dak starts playing bad, he is in fact the starter.

Denial is an ugly thing. It will take you a while but you will eventually see the light. Dak is better than Tony. He gives us the best chance to win.

He clearly flipped the ball at the defender, the fact he missed is largely meaningless. It was a stupid move by Butler.

Make no mistake, I'm all in on Dak and he very well might be better than Tony and I hope like hell he is because he'll go to the HOF, but I'm not buying he gives us the best chance to make the playoffs and win in his rookie year.

And if I'm wrong about that we're going to multiple Super Bowls for a long time so I'm good.

Yep..

What they need to say is..

"we will leave DAK in UNTIL he struggles then green light Tony"

Even Tony should accept that.

He's supposedly a team player.

If DAK doesn't struggle..

Tony doesn't come in.

If Romo was healthy we'd be 4-0. Dax has been great, but Romo is better. I can understand the argument about - well we arent winning this year so let Dax grow - but in the NFL no team that is 3-1 is going to say "we aren't winning this year, so..."

Nor should they.

You play to win today. Romo gives us the best chance to do that today, unless his body says otherwise. So Romo gets to come back and start. If he wins, he continues to start. End of story. Jerry doesn't get to decide. Jerry's a babbling idiot.

Have you seen some of the hits Dak has taken? Not sure how you think romo would still be upright. Without Dak, we'd be watching a scrub like kellen Moore lead us to a 1-3 record.

Romo has the edge in experience but nowhere near the durability, so no, we would NOT be 4-0

People are stupid. They act like Romo never took a hit and got up from it.
